The hotel is a OK sort of Hotel. Room is OK. Has no restaurant only room service, that too not available, Hotel Alpine better to be avoided.

When you are going to a city which is a tourist attraction and saturated with Hotels, you should not be surprised with what is claimed on the website and what the reality is. The website on whose shoulders the hotel information is uploaded, is not fully equipped to verify the claims and audit the contents. A tourist is generally guided by the photographs and the claims made, but at least in our case the reality and the claim had a wide difference, when we visited Hotel Alpine on 10 Sep 2011 for a day. Yes we were looking for a budget hotel and shortlisted Hotel Alpine for a nights halt. Approach to the hotel was easy as it was located opposite a famous hospital on Fatehabad road, in Agra We checked in two rooms and found that fan in one of the rooms was noisy and the other room bathroom light had failed. Asked to shift in the other rooms at first floor, which we did. In the changed room, bathroom latch was unserviceable, but agreed not to change. DG set was promptly switched on when the power went, but after some time the pungent smell of burnt diesel entered the room. The owner at the ground floor annexe office informed that he is used to this odur and is okay with him. After checking in at 6.30 PM wanted to have a cup of tea and some snacks��checked after half an hour and were informed that because of rains, the cook has not turned up and therefore will be able to give tea only. Went out for a walk as could not bear the smell. Bathroom had instant hot water supply and soap with towel�a plus point. In the morning for breakfast the situation had not improved and there was no trace of cook�.asked for some sandwiches and butter to save time and rushed out. Though breakfast and Taj tickets are claimed to be complimentary, it was not provided and no tickets were offered.
