The location of the hotel is pretty good, being close to the mall. The approach is terrible, a broken surface. almost an unprepared surface with about a 60 degrees gradient to climb, which is even very difficult for a SUV. Walking up is like climbing a mountain. And to go about to the mall or any close by location one has to go on foot, there being no taxis available at the hotel. The reception is hardly manned, each time I asked for the receptionist, he/she is either in the toilet or has gone for food. There are no house phones in the lobby. Food in the restaurant is buffet for all the meals, which is average. During our stay there was a group checked in at around 11 PM and were making noise like rowdies in the corridor. Cigerette butts strewn all over the place next morning. They came in for a conference and the day of conference they had a party in the evening with extremely loud music, which could damage your ears. The door to the room where they were having a ball was kept open most of the time. Next time I visit Darjeeling, I will not choose Sinclairs.

Its really tough to comment anything about this hotel, as when we visited there it was under renovation. However would like to mention few points which would have made me visit there for the second time, but I don't think I will select or suggest this hotel to any of the Darjeeling visitors. If you don't have you own vehicle avoid this hotel, as its on straight height for old person to reach there. 1. The Room Wodden Floor was full of dust, when given to us. 2. The heater was not working as there was no power, said by the room service but was working on complaint to the front desk, I had to do this multiple times on my stay. 3. Room service person is never near to phone and we have to ring for atleast 1 minute before they receive the call. 4. Power cut for 5 hours at night just in my room and the 2nd floor corridoar, when the front desk person complaint to the concerned person, he was said that they cannot run the generator just for 1 room, and I have to wait till morning 5. 5. 1st morning the floor of the restaurent was dirty, waiters wearing no gloves, with only one option in breakfast along with bread and cereals, 2nd day as there bosses were in the hotel, the floor was cleaned, all the waiters were neat and clean with gloves in their hand, the manager was available, with two dish options in breakfast. 6. hot water available only during morning 6 to 10, and only if there is power in evening between 6 to 10 7. Only 2nd day breakfast was good, rest the food was pathetic. 8. There was heavy noise from the top floor on the 2nd night as if some party was going on for atlest 2 hours and my baby couldn't sleep due to that. Good points. 1. Quality of the service given by room service was good as they tried their best for the same. 2. I hardly could think of any other good point

room was full of dust and cobwebs.two separate beds which were not aligning together were given to 3 of us.road leading to the hotel was kuchha laden with shit.there was nothing to sugest that it was 3 star and not at all worth the money paid.there was dust all over the coridoor.not worth recomending
