Jamnagar, India
A small fishing town in Gujarat, Jamnagar was laid by a Rajput ruler, Jamthe Jadeja of Nawanagar. A charming town, Jamnagar was built around the pristine Ranmal Lake in the 16th century. Jamnagar is known to have the only Ayurvedic University in the country. A sleepy hamlet until recently, Jamnagar shot to fame with the launching of the country’s largest refinery in the town. Jamnagar town is interesting for tourists for the presence of ancient monuments. One of the most imposing in Jamnagar is the Darbargadh Palace, the royal residence of the Jam Sahebs. Jamnagar surely has lots to explore. Not a very big town though, there are a good number of hotels in Jamnagar. There are mostly budget hotels in Jamnagar and cheap hotels in Jamnagar.
