Amarnath Yatra is a holy yatra that takes you to the eternal cave of Baba Amarnath. According to legends, the Amarnath cave is the place where Lord Shiva unfolded the mystery of Immortality to Maa Parvati. The Amarnath cave has a naturally formed ice Shivalinga, an eternal symbol of Lord Shiva. The Amarnath Yatra takes you to the holy cave through a rather adventurous trek with the joy of getting a glimpse of the image of the Lord. In fact, His Divine presence helps you in attaining salvation. Similarly, the beauty of nature around makes you feel the presence of Divinity in the surroundings itself. A journey of self-realisation and a communion with divine.
Itinerary (Srinagar - Amarnath Cave)
Day 1: Arrival Srinagar- Sonmarg (5200 ft)
Arrive Srinagar and then transfer to Sonamarg. The distance of about 100 kms will be covered in about 3 1/2 hrs. Rest of the day free at leisure for acclimatization and preparation for next day to board chopper for Amarnath Darshan. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Day 2: Sonmarg Baltal Srinagar (99 Kms one way)
After very early breakfast, board chopper for Amarnath Cave for darshan. The route is ascending right up to the cave. Have a dip in the ice-cold water of Amarnath Stream, which flows outside the cave. Inside the cave there is scenery of calm tranquility of white and glistering three massive Lingas stand erect as symbols of Lord Shiva, Parvathi and Ganesh.
After darshan, proceed towards Srinagar. In Srinagar, you will visit Mogul Garden "Nishat" (The Garden of Pleasure) and "Shalimar" (Abode of All). Drive along the Lake side of boulevard. Later, in the evening enjoy 2-3 hours Boat Ride on Dal Lake by a gondola Boat called "Shikara": witness the ride on lake, called Venice of India & experience the aquatic life of Srinagar. Also see the scenic extravaganza of the Kashmir and enjoy the profusion of colors in the Paradise on Earth. While returning, visit the local crafts market and see the fine carved hand-made articles from Papier-mβchι & wood of a walnut. Overnight at the Deluxe Houseboat.
Day 3: Depart Srinagar
In time transfer to airport to connect the flight for onwards destination.
