One of the most prosperous states in India, Gujarat offers the best of textiles, religion and landscape and culinary delights. Dwarka, in Gujarat is an important pilgrimage center, steeped in legends associated with the life of Lord Krishna. Its main attraction is the Dwarkadhish Temple, dedicated to this revered lord. Porbandar is the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and is a beautifully planned city with houses done in elaborate carvings. Rajkot is an important industrial area and its claim to fame is the ancestral home of Mahatma Gandhi, who spent his early days here. Somnath is famous as home to one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. It also has a number of interesting temples, built in architectural splendor.
Itinerary (Dwarka - Porbandar - Somnath - Rajkot)
Day 1: Arrive Rajkot Dwarka (235 kms)
Arrive Rajkot and straight away drive to Dwarka & check in at hotel. Evening proceed for a Darshan & Aarti at temple. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Dwarka - Porbandar
Morning again visit the temple & Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirlings, later drive to Porbandar (100 Kms). Check in at hotel Indraprasth.
Day 3: Porbandar - Somnath
Morning visit Porbandar including Gandhi Ji Home, Museum etc & transfer to hotel Safari at Somnath (110 Kms). Overnight hotel.
Day 4: Somnath Rajkot
Morning Darshan at Somnath temple. After Darshan drive for Rajkot (190 Kms). Arrive & transfer to hotel.
Day 5: Rajkot departure
Early morning departure transfer to airport for flight back home.
