The room that Rahul provided me was very clean and wide, with bathroom inside. I have to say it's a privilege in India. The location is quite close to old Agra as well as most of the sights of the city. I had my own bicycle so it was easy to move, but if you ask Rahul he Will help you to find a way to get into the city ! Thank you for having me at your place, all the Best, Victor.
We had a wonderful stay in Vimegh homestay, quiet place we have a good sleep with my husband, Rahul he is nice guy, hospitality ,friendly and helpful. Rahul is a "good man", as our tuktuk driver said. Very concerned about the logistics of our stay. Had some very interesting chats with him. Beautiful house which Rahul designed himself. Excellent host! Overly polite and considerate. Jack & Winnie
+ The host was picking us up at the train station and arranged a tuk tuk for the next day to visit the Taj Mahal, Agra fort and the baby Taj Mahal. The amount we paid in both situations was the amount that the tuk tuk driver asked us for, but then we realized that booking a tuk tuk per ola was cheaper so it is likely that the host may have some monetary benefits with it . The host prepared a lunch at his mother's house and dinner without asking for more money. The host sold us a SIM card with 2GB of internet daily. It worked well until the end of the trip without any problem. Of course the amount we paid was not the amount we would have paid if we had bought the card at a store. - Although the rooms were clean, on the second night two frogs appeared. The host was always trying to convince me to do a massage, which is strange, at least for me.
I had a wonderful stay in Vimegh Homestay, as since a long time, finally I had a great sleep again, due to the really silent neighbourhood, where the homestay is located at. Vivek welcomed me warmly with arms wide open when I arrived at his place. He provided everything I could ask for: An own room, clean shower, place for my bicycle and he even made some breakfast. Vivek gave me some very good tips about visiting Agra and I really enjoyed cycling through the town, to Taj Mahal, Red Fort and the secret place with the best view on Taj Mahal at sunset ;) At the end, he even helped me out organizing a train ticket. Vivek is a thoughtful, respectful and communicative guy and loves to make his guests feel welcome and comfortable. Vivek, thank you again for finding my mobile charger and I wish you all the best with your upcoming yoga project! ;)
I highly recommend Vimegh Homestay for your next stay in Agra, you won't regret , since Vivek is the most helpful, kind and caring host you can wish... always smiling and in good mood, telling about Indian culture, cuisine, spirituality... The house is so beautiful and colourful, so modern you will be surprised, I never saw such house in India before... The big room is really comfortable, the private bathroom and toilets a luxe for Indian standards.. After a long day visiting crowdy, noisy and dusty Agra it's a relief to come home ( yes, Vimegh Homestay feels like home)...you will feel peace and serenity, listening to the birds, watching buffaloes ,goats and some donkeys crossing the street.. If you need Vivek Will give you a relaxing oil massage , he's a Massage therapist.. So, no doubt, I will come back here during my next travel in India...
