We visited Mr. Dadwals lovely property - Farmers Villa - in the last week of April. Mr. Dadwal (Jeet) and his wife Balqish (Qish) welcomed us with a lot of warmth. We found both of them to be genuinely caring and concerned about our every need. The rooms at Farmers Villa are very spacious, airy and well lit. The views of the vast farms and little villages beyond, from the room balcony, are uplifting! The rooms are well suited for large families travelling together - one can bulk book 4-5 rooms as may be the requirement - there is also a common area available where you can have your morning tea while reading a newspaper, playing a game of carrom or simply enjoying the beautiful views! The hosts are very hospitable and generous, especially when it comes to the food they delightfully serve in the mornings and evenings. The breakfast and dinner spreads are grand, sumptuous and served efficiently by their staff. Qish prepares the dishes herself with fresh vegetables plucked from their own farm! If you ask, Jeet will include a nice Amritsar sightseeing package and will also ensure that you do not miss anything! His man Friday, Ashwini (also our animated albeit efficient driver throughout the stay), took us to the Golden Temple, Attari border and other places of interest during our stay. Ashwini also treated my kids to tractor rides on Jeets farm and took us to see the nearby village and the local Gurudwara. If you want to stay away from the city and love the natural beauty and the smell of village air, then look no further than Farmers Villa! Its comfortable, not very far from the airport or the city and is great value for money. Above all, the hospitality of Jeet, Qish and all of their staff (who come from the nearby villages), is worth experiencing by itself.
