Londoner in Bikaner

I stayed here before and after I went into the desert and had such an incredible time in all. The guesthouse is exceptionally reasonable for the price and has all the basic amenities to make your stay an enjoyable one. The charm from Karni kripa guesthouse comes from the welcoming and warm family that run it. Their continuous smiles and helpfulness is second to none and you are treated like a part of the family. I spent most of my evenings on their roof terrace in the fire they made to stay warm, drinking delicious chai or rum to further warm ourselves. They have a menu for lunch and dinner which is very cheap but rich in flavor and consists of typical local Indian food, stuff you won't find in restaurants out and about. The town itself is a great place to experience India without the tourist hawkers. Walking around the markets, palaces, tombs or anywhere in fact, it is unlikely you will bump into many tourists, and everywhere you visit people just smile and wave and kids laugh when you wave or smile in their direction. A definite must do if seeing India and I recommend the guesthouse if wanting something cheap and local.
