First I was very skeptical of staying at a homestay and this was the first ever homestay for me. I called and Nischit picked up the phone, confirmed and booked 2 cottages for us. The booking and confirmation was very smooth process. We went to this very beautiful homestay in June the week of 14th 2019 and stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. First of all Monsoon is one the best time to enjoy the lush green nature that surrounds this place but not that much if you are going to visit the peaks here in chikmagalur. We were really lucky that we get to see Muliyangiri and other places that are advisable to visit when you visit chikmaglur. Now the stay was amazing, clean sheets, clean rooms, Hot water, we had a bit of problem for maybe 5 minutes with the water but the guys there "Santosh" is a power packed ranger works round the clock in the kitchen, taking care of amenities, everything. Now the Food, food here is amazing. Really good meals, everything they cook here is organic and grown in their own greenhouse. Veg, non-veg everything is really good. Normally you would get local cuisine mixed with one chicken dish in lunch and dinner. Food served is HOT, mouthwatering and delicious. If you are someone who enjoys drinking, no problems at all they will get you icebox, snacks whatever you need and you can drink in the same vicinity which packs a really good decor, some open and beautiful area to hangout even when its raining and obviously no outing is complete without a bon-fire. You get daily bon-fire at nights. Really good light music, amazing weather, great food what else do you need? Now last but not the leat, the HOST!! Nischit, is an amazing amazing host, he will advice you with the best of the options to visit and hangout and trust me listen to him when he says "that area is full of leeches DON'T GO there" but we did and ended up with legs and shoes sucked up by leeches. so basically he gives great advice on where to visit, how to visit and what not to visit. One of the big things, we forgot to carry cash and were only depending on electronic modes, please do carry cash the local jeep guys charge somewhere between 2500 to 4500 for the sightseeing and trip to muliyangiri(highest peek in Karnataka) and its a MUST visit. So, please please carry some cash!! Oh and btw, on your way back there is this beautiful temple which again, was suggested by Nischit, its in Belur, hardly 1.5 kms off from the main road and its s MUST GO for its architecture. Do visit this temple. Overall Ratings: Homestay: AMAZING! 5 o 5 Food: Great 4.5 o 5 Local SIghtseeing: 5 of 5 Host: GREAT!! DO CARRY CASH and all your LIQOR cos ATM's and wine shops are not that close.

It was our first excursion with the infant and we were skeptical about food and place. After reaching there, we thought we made the best decision to stay here. It was surreal and the hospitality is unparalleled. Special mention here Mr. Santosh and Girish( if I got his name correct). They prepared special food for the kid and helped us is in all possible ways to make our stay comfortable. The rooms had different themes and ours was Rocks. It had two tents in the first floor which was more like rustic feel. The food was spot on too. Very tasty and delicious.
