The place is located in a nice corner of Chikmaglur. The property is huge. They have an army of Dogs and Cats of various breeds who are a joy to play with. The food is good too. Muthodi gate for Bhadra Tiger reserve is around 8-10 Kms from here if you want to do a Safari. Estate Cafe is a nice cafe in the vicinity in case you want to eat out.

Awesome trip! Awesome trip!

Lush green coffee estate, not too far away from the main township of Chikmangalur (but not too close either). Coffeebean homestay is a perfect lil getaway to reconnect with nature in cozy and clean cabins, hospitable staff and loads of cute pets :) At dusk, you can unwind to the music of your choice, homemade food and a bonfire too!! The staff is also extremely helpful in planning your day depending on your interests (at an additonal cost ofcourse) which is totally worth it. Definitely a must stay in this charming homestay.

Coffee beans homestay is located in a huge coffee estate. They have beautiful cottages and views are amazing. Since it is located far off from city, there is no noise and disturbances. It gives a feeling of a jungle, hence it is good to go in big groups. Food is simple, homely, South Indian food.

If there was an option to give 5+ stars rating then i would have given that to CoffeeBean Homestay!!!! Not sure how could anyone give below 5 stars rating for this wonderful homestay!!!! If at all anyone has given below 5 stars then it would be tough to satisfy their expectations no matter where they stay :-). Usually i don't write any reviews for any of the accomodations where i stay. I have stayed in Homestay/Hotels in Coorg, Goa, Wayanad, Kodaikanal, Andaman and other places but no where did i feel like posting a review. With due respect to all these places where i have stayed before, following was my experience staying at Coffeebean Homestay. Though that my review might be late but really worth posting it. We were planning for a trip from Bangalore to Bellur, Halebidu and Shravanabelagola for a weekend i.e. Feb-11th and 12th 2017. So i was initially looking for the hotel "Mallige Residency" at Hassan so that we could cover all these places without much strain. However when i checked in Mallige Residency, they didn't have a single room big enough which could accommodate 4 Adults and 3 Kids. One of my close buddies suggested me to stay in Chikmaglur as staying in Hassan would be similar to staying in Bangalore!!!!! He had already stayed in Chikmaglur in one of the homestays (forgot the name) and he suggested me that as he had a good experience staying there. When i called up that particular homestay, the response at the other end was not that great, he asked me to check everything in their website!!!! That time itself i decided i wouldn't visit this homestay. Then i checked out for other resorts/homestays and i found "CoffeeBean Homestay". Initially i thought that reaching this place might have Shiradi/Charmadi ghats and driving through narrow roads might be difficult as i don't prefer steep ghats. When i checked the reviews of "CoffeeBean Homestay", nobody had given a 3 star rating or below. Mostly reviewers had given 5 stars rating and a few 4 stars rating. I was really surprised how is it that a homestay/resort could have such high rating consistently. Usually any homestay/resort/hotel will have ratings in all categoried right from 1 star to 5 stars. I did check out the reviews and photos before finalising on it. Then I called up the host of "CoffeeBean Homestay" Mr. Nischit and his response was very down to earth that i was very impressed and decided that we would book it. He immediately checked and let me know the availability and the pricing for Kids as well. I immediately booked their accommodation - "Rocks Cottage". He also provided me the route details and also clarified that there are no steep ghats to reach his homestay. It is about 250 Kms from Bangalore. On Feb 11th (Saturday) We started from Bangalore around 4:45 A.M. and on the way we had breakfast at around 150 Kms from Bangalore. We had carried breakfast from Home itself. It was Feb and in Bangalore it was already like Summer however in the place where we had breakfast it was a very chilled weather that we were shivering [tooth were typing :-)]. Then we headed towards Bellur and visited Bellur Temple. From there we headed towards CoffeeBean Homestay and reached by 11:45 A.M. The host Mrs. Ruchita Nischit and her team welcomed us, enquired about our travel and made us comfortable. The moment we entered the homestay, the surroundings around the homestay, we were really excited to stay. It was such a Oxygen Rich Place that we had never experienced anything like this before. The accommodation was simply perfect, very well maintained and very spacious enough to accommodate all 7 of us. The Kids were really excited as even they had never experienced like this before. We had a delicious lunch very homely food and then we had a nap. Me and my nephew had a nap in the tent at the top floor of our accommodation. It was a pleasant experience. Then we had 2 choices as suggested by the host - we could either visit "Bhadra Wildlife Safari" or "Sunset Point" nearby. We opted to visit Sunset Point. They arranged for a jeep and we visited the Sunset Point in the evening and returned back to the accommodation. We were served snacks at the campfire area. Then we had delicious dinner. There was absolutely no noise around and perfect for a sound sleep unlike what we have at Bangalore with the vehicles noises even during late night. Next day morning we had coffee and the cook+guide took us through their coffee estate, it was a good morning walk!!!!!. Then we got ready and checked out by 11 and headed towards Belavadi Temple which was suggested by the host. From Belavadi Temple we visited Halebidu and then Shravanabelagola and finally back to Bangalore by around 9/9:30 P.M. Overall a fantastic, wonderful, great experience staying at CoffeeBean Homestay. Worth the money spent. Even today we cherish our stay at one of the Best Homestays, the ambience, the surroundings, the great hospitality, what not.....If anyone needs to learn how to look after their guests it would be surely from them (I am not exaggerating here!!!!!). Given a chance i would like to visit every year atleast once!!!!! Thanks wholeheartedly to the entire team of CoffeeBean Homestay for making our stay a really memorable one!!!!! Note: Tripadvisor did not provide an option to select Feb 2017 under "When did you travel" as i am posting my review after 1.5 years. So selected Feb 2018 instead.
