Hot water will be of 2 ltrs then you have to wait. TV not in your room you have share in common for 4 rooms Poor room service.Very poor complimentry break fast.

An unpleasant experience An unpleasant experience

We visited this place last weekend while on a bike trip to coorg from Bangalore. We had an awful and forgettable experience reaching the place. They have wrongly marked themsrlves on google map, missing their actual location by 40-50 kms. Finally reaching the dirt road to the resort, which was described by the resort owner as quite drivable, after a rainy afternoon, we found ourselves struggling badly and stuck on that perilous muddy climb and eventually came back down after much struggle. Finally we managed to reach the resort after dark on a 4x4 with our leech infested feet covered with mud. The only upside of this visit was the complete seclusion and freedom that this place guarantees(probably because very feee will have the determination and dare i say courage to reach this place). Vesides, two very cordial care takers welcome you with hot, fresh and tasty food. But still I'd say staying here is not at all worth the struggle you'll have reaching and leaving the place.

Not a place to visit or stay Not a place to visit or stay

We had booked for 2 days but we could not tolerate even one day. First thing is the Mud road of 3 Km from the main road. second is cleanliness is less only. Complete family got stomach infection including adults. Third is the "RATS" inside the room & we could not sleep properly as it was making noise. As it was cold we asked for more blankets. He gave us blankets smelling yaak (rat urinated smell). I sincerly do not suggest the place. Location wise it is too good. but all other things are worst. Although we had booked in advance, he did not plan his grocries even. When we ask for one more Omlette, he says he does not have egg. When we ask for few more chapathis, he says atta finished shall i serve u rice.

We stayed here for just one night but really enjoyed it. Till madikeri the roads are pretty good and then just before the town center you will have to take a left towards Siddapur. Its around 15km from the center of madikeri. the road are really nice, till you actually have to take the Makeshift Mud road uphill to the HomeStay. It might not be for everyone or even for every Car for that matter but for my Car(Honda - CRV) it was quite an adventure. Single road, only one car can go through that path at any time. We even had chased(not deliberately) a calf who was standing in the middle of the road. But the house and the sight from it once you reach the top are beautiful. and it really peaceful and quite with a gentle noise for a streaming river in the back. The food Cooked by the Caretaker Deepak was lip smacking good. We had Chicken in the afternoon and mutton for dinner. Breakfast of Poha, bread n omelette was also nice,
