by SandeepS4246 on April 26, 2018

My family stayed at this place for 3 nights and 4 days. Our experience was very good as the owners of the property were welcoming and full of warmth. The place is serene, beautiful and nature at its best. Nice place for a family stay away from city madness.

Nakoor Volkot - a Nakoor Volkot - a "Feel like Home" experience

by AnkitaR188 on December 16, 2017

We stayed at Nakoor Volkot for two days in December,2017 and needless to say this to be an amazing experience, in fact best ever Homastay experience till date. Being situated within coffee plantation in a village named 'Nakoor', Coorg, far away from the maddening crowd of the tourist places the place is completely refreshing, serene, peaceful. If I talk about the surroundings, this homestay is in a coffee plantation owned by Usha Ganapathy(the owner of the homestay) absolutely in the lap of nature. The house is a big 2BHK with big rooms, TV room, dining hall and fully furnished kitchen. Usha who co-ordinated everything was very helpful and cooperative, she made sure that we had a comfortable stay there. Her son,daughter-in-law and grandson was very nice, well behaved and courteous. The caretaker Shivappa knows what we need and when. Whenever we returned after local sight seeing he asked us for coffee or he was ready with bed tea every day and that is also free of cost. He is the one who took us for a walk around the coffee plantation. His little daughter Sphurti is very sweet and cute. Well, I should not forget to let you know about the food they serve. The food was hygienic, tasty, homely, and lip-smacking. We were overeating those days just because of the food quality. Our stay was so much blissful enjoying the serenity of nature that it is very hard to point out anything on which it needs an improvement. Only thing is, Mobile network(except for Airtel and BSNL) was not available or having very poor signal. So in case anybody needs a break from the modern haste and hurry just for a few days, this place could be oneof the best places for sure.

The quintessential home stay experience The quintessential home stay experience

by Neha V on July 22, 2017

My best home stay experience. The place is peaceful, beautiful and simple. The surroundings bring you at peace with yourself.Nakoor Volkot lies in the lap of nature and the people ( hosts and caretaker) make the place even more beautiful. Kind, genuine, concerned and helpful hosts.Interactions with the host from the start to the end of the trip was the highlight. Plantation visit, home cooked corgi food and daily interactions with Shivappa the most helpful and hospitable caretaker made it the quintessential home stay experience. They go to great lengths to make the stay enjoyable and hassle free. Yummy food cooked with the best of products, resourceful hosts and loving Shivappa! There really isn't anything in this place that you won't fall in love with. Simple rooms, basic amenities, clean washrooms, daily housekeeping and coffee- tea whenever you need it! This stay is Highly Recommended!!

Our stay at Nakoor Volkot Homestay was a time stolen from the busy life schedules. The place is so off the map that GPS apologized:) Jokes apart, Mr. Aiyappa and the caretaker ensured that our stay was extremely comfortable. The food was out of this world. The coffee plantation tour enlighten us with all things that go into making that cup of coffee heavenly. If you are looking for rewinding , this is the place to be.

Most comfortable and peaceful place! Most comfortable and peaceful place!

Our stay at Nakoor Volkot was just amazing. The hosts Mr And Mrs Ganapathy are exceptionally accommodating and helpful. Mr Ganapathy is a jolly and knowledgeable person and eager to answer all the queries regarding the local history and wildlife. Mrs Ganapathy is the sweetest host I have come across and the food she provides is lipsmackingly tasty. The housekeeper Shivappa is always ready to fulfill all your demands and that too with a smiling face. the cottage is situated in the midst of lush green coffee plantation, which provides you with ample privacy. Overall our stay was very peaceful and comfortable.
