A Wonderful Break..... A Wonderful Break.....

by Saubhag123 on

We live in Goa and desperately wanted to take a break from staying indoors during Covid times. I found Agonda Cottages online, and am so very glad I did! It is always better to book directly and it was a pleasure to speak to the manager Subodh who was so welcoming and friendly. If you are looking for a 5 star accommodation with buffet spreads and pretentious staff, this should not be your choice. We wanted to be right at the waters edge and thats where the restaurant was. We ate our meals with our feet in the sand with smiley staff looking after us so very well. They were all excellent, but a special shout out to Rupin! The cottage was basic but clean, the air con worked fine. We had carried our own toiletries. We loved the fact that there were no plastic water bottles used, glass bottles which we refilled from a dispenser in the restaurant. Sawai at the reception got our car out of the parking that had been provided for us and saw us off, 2 very happy people in our sixties. We had experienced a slice of heaven at Agonda beach and we will certainly be back to stay at Agonda Cottages. Thank you Subodh and the whole team!

i am a Travel vlogger and a Photographer ,we 4 family members stayed for 3 days here at Agonda Cottages and were blown away by how friendly, warm and accommodating all the staff were. Subodh, the Manager, was exceptionally amazing and such a gentle man with a beautiful bright smile that makes your day even more beautiful like a positive sun ray and we feel so relaxed and cared for. The resort is lovely, in a great location and the restaurant overlooking the beach is a great place to relax, eat and drink (we had welcome drinks , and Red wine ) and watch the sun set. We were genuinely sad to leave and say goodbye to everyone. You cant go wrong staying here Gypsy Mridul

Better than perfect! Better than perfect!

This place is magical, rustic, peaceful and for us paradise. If you want 5* luxury don't stay here! If you want a perfect beach setting, fab service, great food and cocktails (with bottled ice) then this is the place for you. The beach is immaculate and cleaned daily. There are dozens of places to eat. You can walk along miles of white sand, do yoga on the beach and go for amazing boat rides with captain Sandy! The team make you feel so welcome and look after you amazingly Try the twice weekly fish bbq or the delicious butter chicken and much more. Lunch dishes include homenade hummus, roti, prawns and poppadoms with dips. The beer is ridiculously cheap and the Indian wine with lots of ice hits the spot! The sand floor bar overlooks the Arabian sea and in the evening they pop candles on your table. Raj and his team in the bar are super friendly without intruding John who we booked with on line is always responsive and will help with questions Housekeeping will get you anything extra you need. Reception will help with trips, massages, taxis Just behind the cottages is the little village Street with bars and shops and cows in the street! Even though you are on a beach in a hut you feel safe and secure! Special mention for the Agonda Cottage dogs.. Balie and Lucky There are many beach dogs and tbh they are never a problem. The dogs at the cottages are looked after by the team They have been rabies vaccinated and they are friendly but don't beg as they are fed! They like a titbit like any pooch! Lucky would sleep on our porch overnight! We popped to Fatimas supermarket to buy a bag of Pedigree to leave for them for monsoon season! We cannot thank the guys enough and cannot wait to return Stay safe guys in these hard times. We have booked for 2022 as the room we wanted was fully booked until then! See you in 2022 Ken and Sarah xx

Cottages really nice, huge comfy bed, good air con, lovely bathroom, room safe not worth using as it's not fixed down you can just pick it up.Food in the restaurant very good didn't eat there in the evening as its so quiet really needs some background music. Overall a very nice stay and would recommend to others.

This is the second time we have returned to Agonda Cottages and partly one of the reasons is for coming back is for the utterly charming service from the manager Subodh and his staff - from the cleaners, restaurant staff and porters. The on-site ayuvedic spa (Kerala) run by Sam is in my opinion the best in Goa. The beach is blissful and immaculate. Im delighted that the nature is being preserved and protected. This all adds to an extra dimension to the overall enjoyment of our holiday - the warm and kindness of the team is faultless. We will be coming back year after year, where we can relax, switch off and feel at home. What more could you ask for. Tess Prince @lovefoodibiza
