Warm , hospitable and calm Warm , hospitable and calm

by SushmaP_12 on November 27, 2019

We , a family of 3 ,with a 4 year old had a wonderful stay in Capella. The thing that we liked the most is the fact that despite being in a homestay , our privacy and space is respected. The host is a very warm person , suggests good options and yet lets us be . The staff is very kind as well. Lovely rooms and bathrooms, and the plunge pool is beautiful as well. Overall a great place, great location, and still far from the madding crowd. Would highly recommend Capella to those with a taste of good things in life.

A Blissful Getaway! A Blissful Getaway!

by Gaurav_vks on November 24, 2019

I have rarely posted anything online. But sharing the experience at Capella is something I couldn't resist. And this experience is actually a wonderful combination of the place & it's people. To begin with, the booking process is smooth and transparent. Ayesha is extremely thoughtful towards her guests and a day prior to our travel, she on her own accord, enquired whether we'd need an airport pickup or self driven vehicle to be arranged. The property has ample place to park your self driven cars or two wheelers and those will be useful to have at Capella. The location is very interesting. Once you are there, it does feel like a proper forest retreat, miles away from any sort of hustle bustle. And yet, its almost unbelievably near to every part of North Goa. The bustling Candolim stretch is a mere 8 mins away. Baga is hardly 7-8 mins away, if you take the lane next to Fat Fish. The tony neighborhood of Assagao is 5 -7 mins away. Anjuna 15 mins, Vagator 18, Ashwem Morjim 35 mins max. All are actual times travelled in a car. There are 2 large rooms on the first floor and 2 regular sized ones on the ground floor. All of them are beautifully done up with large beds and clean linen. The whole place has a touch of Portuguese architecture even though the house, surprisngly, wasn't constructed too long back. The bathrooms are large and airy. The living room, which is a common area for all the guests and the host family, is huge and open. The small pool is cozy and inviting. There are no TVs in the guest rooms but there's one in the living room which can be accessed any time. The complimentary breakfast is sumptuous to say the least. The on-request, home cooked lunch is heavenly. It's very reasonably priced and we ended up having it almost on all days of our stay. Ayesha asked our preferences and sometimes recommended dishes. The pets are beautiful and even if you are not a fan of house animals, you can be assured to not be bothered by any of them. The dog Elsa, has an old soul and seems like a monk sitting quietly in a corner. The cats mind their own business, lazing around at different nooks and crannies at various times, inspiring the guests to do the same. Ayesha, inherently, has a pleasant and open disposition. Her teenaged son, a strapping young man, is equally warm and charming. The 3 member staff is very helpful and efficient. Our little 5 year old had a ball of a time with all of them, throughout our stay. In conclusion, if you want to break away from a routine existence and are ok with a peaceful, quiet stay, along with some great food, Capella would seem like a bliss. Waking up to delightful chirping of exotic birds, witnessing a glorious morning view of coconut trees shrouded in a mist, will undoubtedly transport you to a place far away from the usual hum drum of our hectic lives. But don't worry, if you miss any of it, it's all just around the corner. Capella is like the Taj Mahal. If you visit once, you will have to go back there again!

We stayed at the very charming Capella for our girly trip . It was a wonderful home stay with huge - bedrooms , bathrooms and balconys and nestled near lots of greenery . It was very safe and the hosts of this property Ayesha and Zal were wonderful , ensuring we were very comfortable . Lovely home made breakfast and coffee in the morning ! Very centrally located with lots of shopping , lovely restaurants and beaches in very close proximity .

And we came back yet again... And we came back yet again...

Our annual Goa visit is incomplete without staying at Capella. We have stayed here several times over the years and the timeless beauty and solitude of the property and the warm hospitality of Ayesha and the lovely staff is as always a delight. The homely food, awesome collection of books and quiet Elsa(pet dog) makes us feel we are vacationing Home!

The Return The Return

by goanite on November 19, 2019

Was at this wonderful establishment last year and, to be honest, have been dreaming of coming back ever since. Well, the place has managed to become even better, something that I did not think possible. A beautiful, serene homestay that my wife and I find impossible to leave and can see no plausible reason to do so. After a leisurely breakfast featuring the best muesli known to mankind we grabbed books and lazed around, taking the odd nap to save our energy for doing very little later, and that's about it really. The staff are very attentive and friendly, the host, Ayesha, warm, engaging and intelligent, always finding time for a natter. The assortment of pets entertaining and always up for a cuddle. Dawn is a magical time chez Capello, try and drag yourself out of the divinely comfortable beds to witness it. Will see you next year.
