Great site but low on hospitality and room amenities Great site but low on hospitality and room amenities

by 429ankitk on

Rooms are spacious, however the downside of the resort is the amenities and quality of the rooms and the overall hospitality. The feeling of waking up to a beach site is amazing, sitting and having meals at the beach side is an experience worth trying. Candle night dinner with the sound of high tide beach water is unforgettable and relaxing . The food was also great and reasonably priced.

We have been staying at Cuba Agonda for over the past 12 years making atleast 2 trips a year there. We have never been disappointed during our stay, the rooms are nice and big , staff warm and hospitable. Yes there may be probably be more up market places around Agonda, but as far as security and warmth is concerned, this place just stands out. Breakfast options are decent with choice of American, continental and Indian breakfast offered to guests. This resort is child friendly , thus stands out !!

Last month when we have been there. There was huge rains but still, Cuba made the resort very clean and neat on top of that. Especially sea view huts were awesome. Pawan Kumar service was very good being a Manager there. Food was also really good.

Pathetic Service and Hotel Pathetic Service and Hotel

by VishalM78 on

We had been to Cuba Agonda for 3 nights stay. Before leaving we had enquired about the weather and we were told that its raining only at nights. On reaching there we noticed very high tides and on asking we were told that the weather has been bad and this is the 1st time they are seeing such high tides. On asking about safety measures we didn't get any answer. On reaching our room, we noticed that the floor was wet and the ceiling was leaking. On 2nd night there was no electricity at all and no water. There was no proactive information about that. The numbers were not reachable and there was no staff at reception. When we went to the staff quarters , one of them said that they will check about it and nothing happend for half hour. When we checked again the staff was sleeping again. So we couldn't bathe , brush or use the washroom. Also the water was now almost near the huts and when we asked the staff about the safety measures they said just pack the bags and leave if we see a risk So we left the hotel immediately. On asking for a refund, makemytrip as well as the hotel is denying it.
