Great Location Great Location

Fabulous location. Huts are what you would expect and personally better than expected for the money. Mattresses are hard so good tip bring a lilo or mattress roll. Great food, friendly staff. Definately come back.

Great location but disappointing hut. Great location but disappointing hut.

Had highest hut of the five huts here for 4 nights (Rs 1500 per night) so great views from the balcony. Very friendly manager and his wife, nice food but naturally more expensive than Agonda as limited eating options at Cola beach (we also ate at walkable other restaurants here) Access interesting down a very steep rough path and were amazed how the female staff insisted on carrying our heavy suitcases on their heads both on arrival and departure. Tip well! Unfortunately the bed 'mattress' was rock solid, as was the pillow, and amongst the hardest and unyielding I can remember in 4 trips to India in over 40 years!! This alone would stop me returning as could not sleep well so I recommend to the owners replacing them! The bathroom was very grim......salty, trickly shower water, tap over sink did not work, flush hopeless so had to chuck a bucket of water in to flush. Sadly we saw a couple of rats in the hut whilst there, one in bathroom and later in bedroom (running along top of inner walls) Lastly we were disturbed on 2 evenings by fellow residents (who I think were smoking cannabis, judging from the smell and their reactions when I spoke with them at 11pm) playing loud music and drums.( we and 2 other nice UK guests found needles and syringes just in front of the Casa Diya which was very disturbing....) I did tell the manager and showed him a needle I found. The owner and manager need to be aware of this and cut out anti social behaviour from international tourists in such a peaceful location. Some ' international' groups seemed to descend on Casa Diya Restaurant in the day and take it over, playing loud music and taking endless selfies and 'glamour' shots. Owner please note! But location great and staff nice but manager need to be more assertive in stamping out anti social behaviour.

What an amazing beach great water for swimming nice and quiet. We took trip along from Agonda beach it's a better beach just difficult to get down too all steps from cliff top and bumpy road to get to the drop of top steps but the beach makes it worth it. Most people during afternoon day visiting by bike but we stayed at huts. All the food was amazing a little more expensive than most at Agonda. That's good points on negative side the huts very basic, bed rock hard and pillows not good sleep was not good at all. Could not wash in shower as it's salt water just cannot get a lather and nightmares shock because brushing teeth first. Not good for stay but definitely worth visiting for food.
