This is one of the nicest places to stay in North Goa if you are looking for something quaint, quiet & deliciously comfortable. Its location is world class, with the most beautiful trekking trails around it. The rooms are stylishly done, spotless and super spacious. The staff and Susan, the owner, are so very warm and delightfully welcoming. Moreover the place has impeccable service, yet feels like home. This has all the makings of something thats seriously charming and chic without the fuss. We Really enjoyed our time here during the lockdown, we stayed for about 17 days~ In the penthouse suit, Mughal suite and garden room; all three spaces were winsome in their own way. This place is so classy; anywhere else you would have to shell out a whole whole lot more to get this level of panache, service and location at a property. Would greatly recommend this to all and sundry. P.S: Susan is the most amazing trained aromatherapist, do try her treatments! And the food which is unexpectedly tasty!

Having been to Goa several times over the last 25 years, we were thrilled to have found the Marbella Guest House which looked perfect for our long planned week holiday. From the airport pick up to the night porter being up at 04.15am to welcome us and carry our cases in, everything to do with the Marbella started as planned. The Rajasthan Suite we had booked was vast and was served by its own private outdoor garden. The hire moped we had arranged with Sajjan the manager was ready for our use and filled with petrol. We were ready for our 2020 Goan adventure. What we hadn't planned for during our stay was the Covid-19 to spread throughout the world and pretty much shut down Goa, leaving us stranded as the Indian Government shut their airspace and stopped all commercial flights. This is when our choice of accommodation really showed its worth and the Marbella stood head and shoulders above other tourist dwellings. The staff were absolutely incredible, Pasquel and Ashut tirelessly cooking and preparing food for everyone with Pasquel also running me around on his moped to get medication during a very enforced lockdown. Armit continuously sourcing supplies for us all and his lovely wife cleaning and keeping the Marbella looking pristine at all times. Shradha the bubbly beautician whom we spent many hours understanding each others cultures and indeed Sajjan, the manager who was pivotal in maintaining a balance during a very turbulent time, keeping a cool head and getting everything done that was required to ensure our very delayed safe passage home. We got to know individually the personalities of all staff who became good friends, more like family and we are completely indebted to each and every one as they ensured our well being. The Marbella has a very tranquil ambience about it which transcends from both the owners Dian and Susan (who were also amazing throughout our enforced stay) down through all of their employees and it certainly felt protected during our very unique stay. We made the right choice to stay at the Marbella but at the time of choosing, we could never have fully realised why that choice was to have been so good !!! We will return to again be reunited with our new Goan family and we are certain despite the challenges of the time, we are sure it and all of its staff will remain blessed and ready to continue looking after the many tourists who go to Goa......

Beautiful & Quiet B&B, off the beaten path but still central Beautiful & Quiet B&B, off the beaten path but still central

We were looking for a place that is close to the usual touristy places in Goa but also quiet. We found this charming boutique hotel with only about 10 rooms tucked away past all the big brand hotels. All the rooms were well appointed, spacious and clean. You can definitely call is rustic, but very charming. The ground floor rooms open up onto a little courtyard, which is also were you can have breakfast, a coffee or some snacks. The team is very hospitable and accommodating. Food is local, good, wholesome. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to stay a little away from the hustle and bustle, yet be close to the beach. A lot of restaurants, cafe and small shops are on the main road going through the town and are easily walkable from the hotel. If you are traveling with friends try to book ahead and book a couple of rooms.

The hospitality was superb. We ordered a lot from the kitchen and the food was good. We really enjoyed the location being somewhat isolated but still within walking distance to the beach and the main strip. On this visit, we stayed in the Bougain Villa Room. The staff gave us a tour of some of the other rooms which were beautiful.

I've been to Goa nearly 10 times now and this place made me the happiest. Right from its quaint location and architecture to the way the rooms were kept, we loved every bit of it. Each and every corner of the guest house looked beautiful, the staff was super sweet, and they cooked excellent food for us! I highly recommend this place because money-wise too, it's completely worth it. Do take the walk from the property to Aguada Fort over the hill.
