If shoes & slippers are not allowed we better go to a worship place rather than on a holiday .. When you charge be prepared to get it cleaned by the staff no one expects much out of the small house ... disfiguring & cleaning are 2 different things ......... a normal unprofessional behaviour when you invest in a property as a hotel or a guest house and run it like a house with lack of finances ...

Rude co owner, untrained staff who only care about their property and not about people or guests Rude co owner, untrained staff who only care about their property and not about people or guests

Tara Verde is a colonial bungalow which is done up beautifully by the host and its a tranquil location. The major issue is with the communication here, the owner or host (Alessandra) actually is away from her property and the co owner is not informed on any discussions that happen with the guests. They ended up ruining a happy family outing only to accuse people and ask them to take off slippers inside the home. If they are so finicky about this I am not sure why they never mentioned on their listings. Another thing is they have displayed images of breakfast which was never served to us before 10.30 when breakfast closes at 11 AM. After 11 AM they decide to charge their guests. This place has no personal touch or care for people. They only care about their furniture.

Terrible experience and racist treatment by co-owner Rajan Terrible experience and racist treatment by co-owner Rajan

by Deepikar198 on

We stayed here with our family for three days. The house is done up with a lot of thought. Its a nice place that they have. The caretaker bhagwanji is the saving grace of this place. Sorry Alessandra for this bad review but we had to do this. The most horrible person on this premises is the co owner Rajan. Very poor management by him. He promised to keep food ready on the day we arrived( this was promised ten days in advance) and once we reached the venue none of the food that we ordered was there. He refused to let us and the kids play n have a nice time irrespective of how we dint damage anything or cause any inconvenience to anyone. No house rules were mentioned on air bnb or no one at the house told us any rules on arrival. They just kept changing them as and when they wished. the maids complained of sand in the house. Its normal to have a bit of sand when tourists visit beach at a tourist destination. It has to be cleaned by them. What do they expect that ppl will shower outside the house and come inside? Mr Rajan looked drunk and he screamed at the woman and everyone in the house calling us animals in the zoo when we were just playing a game ! He kept saying that he has guests from other nationality who are good and Indians are hooligans for just playing a game, saying we that we are not respecting the house. I am sure we Indians surely know how to keep our houses and we respect it more than everyone as we keep our Gods in it . Such racist comments are uncalled for. Plz dont go here if you intend to stay in the house the whole day with your family or want to spend any late nights or if you have kids who want to play around or if you want to go to the beach. On top of all of this if your Indian plz give this a miss as you dont want some guy disrespecting you because of your race.

Hostile and aggressive host Hostile and aggressive host

I live in Sydney and have my own Airbnb property back home. Never seen a host with this kind of bad attitude. Stayed here with family just for three days and the host chose to pick up a fight with us on the last day of our stay. Used abusive language and was very unfriendly towards us. Had a long and sulking face all throughout and seemed to be annoyed at anything we requested. Not sure why such people advertise their properties in the first place. When you cannot take care of guests, just don't have them. Simple.

Horrible for Indians Horrible for Indians

We stayed here for 3 days. The first 2 days were fine, not too good or bad. The local co host Rajan was abusive. When we played a small game which had elders walk around and take pictures in the house, Mr. Rajan started yelling at the elders. He was so abusive, and at a point raised his hand on my mother. He was cribbing about wearing home slippers inside the house. We were wearing slippers only because the place has a lot of insects and ants in the house . We were never given an instruction of not wearing slippers. Mr. Rajan also imposed on finishing our breakfast at 11 and then sleep. He didn't let us use the kitchen or the dining area. With a big table to seat 20 people, wasn't allowed to be used. We all were stuffed in the kitchen and forced to sit on a table of 3. On the last day, Mr. Rajan got drunk and started calling us donkeys and monkeys. We felt threatened. We weren't able to sleep as he was really abusive . We felt shattered to stay here and it ruined our holiday. Mr bhagwan ji was really nice and helpful. The house is good, but with nothing working and unusable, you can give this a miss!

Demo Trip Every room is tastefully done but if you are looking for a bigger room go for Gandhaar. The closest beaches are Calangute, Baga, Anjuna but are around 5-6kms. Its not a typical hotel stay but something special and different
