Excellent and homely place to be in jaipur Excellent and homely place to be in jaipur

by Patneraj on November 4, 2019

We got opportunity to stay at Madhuban as part of last moment booking. Were rather hesitant to choose a heritage home over a hotel, but the decision turned good. We got a surprise update, thanks to Scion of Patan family who was nice polite and hospitable. The place being older property was upkept tidy with the old styled wooden bed curtains and spacious bathroom with tub. There is a small garden backyard with a pool, which we could not use due to cold weather. The breakfast is simple fare but filling. We had a very brief stay, longing to comeback to the serinity in midst of city which is disturbed only by chirping of the birds early morning....

I loved this place! I am a solo female traveler and they did everything to make me feel safe and comfortable. Very nice hotel manager. I didnt swim in the pool, but its traveling in India I now know how rare pools are! I am vegan/gluten free and the breakfast plate was a beautiful and large fruit plate. It was delicious!

Stayed in Hotel Madhuban in November 2018 for five nights. It is a very clean well maintained hotel with full of character, friendly and helpful staff and located in a convenient location. We enjoyed goat curry at the hotel restaurant for dinners. At the reception taxi service was arranged for us to visit sights including the Taj Mahal which was most helpful. Thank you very much Hotel Madhuban,

BEST FAMILY RUN BOUTIQUE HOTEL BEST FAMILY RUN BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Visited Jaipur on a Rajasthan trip, had to look for a hotel in the city centre within a good reach to all the tourist spots and transport hubs, chose to walk in here via the internet, the hotel lies in a residential area which is comparatively quite to the hustling main road made in a heritage home which, as you enter you see is a peaceful haven in all the noise of the city which is no more bothering you in the ears. Greeted by a smiling face at the reception, luggage taken care of, we head to the room crossing a nice backyard garden with English cast iron furniture gives you a feel of the colonial past,(a good spot to enjoy your tea in the evening with chirping sparrows). The rooms despite of being heritage are well equipped with all you need as they have managed the space well while putting in all the amenities , slept on what we call a qeen sized bed with tall wooden pillars and it was comfy. They have a splash pool as well, clubbed with their restaurant , which brings us to the food , after a whole 15 days this is the first place I actually relished a home like meal , they have an Indian-continental menu but the highlight of it is the Lal mas and achari lauki (bottle gourd). The staff was very courteous from the room boy to the steward ,well groomed . Despite of no complaints , I was attended by the family which themselves own and run the place made the experience worthwhile and got a great amount of local insight. All in all ,if you want to explore Jaipur and come back to a place to retire to kill the days exhaustion, this is it. As I always travel on a budget , I'd like to add this heritage home is nor to expensive and not too cheap, and it sure is -value for money.
