Worst Hotel I've stayed at! Worst Hotel I've stayed at!

by ginaz0 on

Please avoid at all costs!! I found myself stuck in the middle of nowhere, where the food was horrible and overpriced, and the room was old and creaking throughout my night. If that wasnt bad enough, the pretty parts of the hotel are closed off to the guests, you can only access this section with a guard and its highly uncomfortable. At one point there were 5 men watching me, a solo female traveler, trying to take photos of the hallway. To top it all off, I couldnt leave this place! They wouldnt help me get a cab or tuk tuk back to Jaipur, meanwhile they have their own transportation that they charge you 60$ for! Horrible waste of my money, I actually spent more time crying there than enjoying myself.

Ultimate luxury in a stunning setting. Ultimate luxury in a stunning setting.

We reached this wonderful in the dark after a long journey from east of Agra. We were quickly settled and given a fantastic room. The decoration throughout the hotel was just amazing and the many public places were beautiful. We enjoyed watching the preparations for a wedding the day after we left. We were given the Maharajah's room and it was a delight. The staff were wonderful and very attentice. We were just sorry we had only booked 2 nights there.

A wonderful oasis A wonderful oasis

On a very recent trip to India we were fortunate enough to be able to stay at this hotel for a couple of nights. We arrived late in the evening following a lengthy journey by road and some tiring but enjoyable days touring and despite the fact that we were absolutely exhausted we quickly realised from the amazing location and approach to it that it was going to be extra special! We certainly weren't disappointed! Despite the hour we received a very warm welcome from the staff and were then shown to our room which was absolutely stunning . It was simply wonderful to unwind, relax and luxuriate in such beautiful surroundings! Our stay though brief was thoroughly enjoyable and we were made to feel so special. All the staff we met were polite, professional and obliging and the meals we had were plentiful and delicious. All in all a unique and fabulous place steeped in history and a fantastic place to stay and experience! We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it and sincerely hope that we can return one day in the future!

Unique and memorable stay during Christmas break Unique and memorable stay during Christmas break

We stayed at the Samode Palace during a trip through India between Christmas and New Year's and it was wonderful. The hotel take you back to a completely different era and is both authentic as well as comfortable. Food was good, not the best we had on our trip, but good. Pool was beautiful and warm enough mid-afternoon. There is a great trail to a temple and fort right out the front door and it was it was easy to explore the Samode village on foot from the hotel.

For the last 20 years I am in sales and felt that my team was doing a great job with customer service. Not really! In fact I experienced a NEAR TO PERFECT CUSTOMER SERVICE and PROJECT MANAGEMENT/EXECUTION during my sons wedding at Samode Palace, Samode, India. The entire Samode team - Bell Boy to House Keeping to Front Desk to F&B were AMAZINGLY COURTEOUS. The Samode delivered MUCH BEYOND what was narrated in the contract while MESMERIZING us with their PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE, SERVICE and COMMITMENT. Be it keeping venues ready on time with a different theme designed with fresh flowers decoration, sumptuous and superb food quality, well designed fireworks, a unique baraat procession or the GRAND ROYAL entry of the newly wedded couple during reception to name a few, it offered an EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE for everyone attending the marriage. JUST AWESOME! All the ceremonies offered a LUXURIOUS LOOK and UNIQUE CELEBRATION EXPERIENCE, which was not less than the ones shown in BOLLYWOOD MOVIES. The Rangoli with couples names done with coloured rice looked superb and charming. The rooms at the Palace and Bagh were very well maintained and provided a huge comfort to all our guests. In any Indian wedding, nothing is more satisfying and important until the guests say - WOW! Samode team JOB EXTREMELY WELL DONE! KUDOS to Vivek Yagnik, GM at Samode, for his grooming/maintaining such an amazing team. Keep improvising. If you are looking for a GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY and ROYAL WEDDING EXPERIENCE, go for SAMODE!

Demo Trip We had a corner suite that overlooked the pool and had a spectacular view. I would recommend that one for the ultimate experience.
