A refreshing and Rendering Get-away place.. Totally in Love A refreshing and Rendering Get-away place.. Totally in Love

We traveled from Bangalore to Kodaikanal in the last week of June 2019. We were 3 couples. A very memorable vacation for all of us. Everything about the place is quaint and tranquil -- property, rooms, interiors and location. It has a well spread out lawn with beautiful flowers. One can spend your entire day lazing within the property, exploring its nooks and still not get bored. The location of the Estate amongst nature surroundings was amazing amidst wonderful fauna and flora. The beautiful and moderately cool weather added to the enjoyment. The special thing of the stay is added by the caretaker Mr. Natarajan and other staffs. They are delightful hosts who take personal care of each and every guest. Chef there is an amazing cook and dishes out a lip smacking variety of food. We had at least 4 meals plus breakfast -- and every single food item was very tasty!!! It was my birthday on 29th June- Mr. Natarajan & staff put in their efforts to decorate the Bonfire area with Lights, Balloons & Fire-camp, which made my day altogether a very special day. Many thanks to the staff for making my birthday a special & memorable one. All in all a very memorable stay. I am DEFINITELY COMING BACK AGAIN.

We travelled to Kodai in the last week of June, which also happens to be the last weekend of the peak season-too many people and over crowded hotels. We fortunately found an availability at Kurinji estate. Getting there- We did a Bike trip from Bangalore to Kodai. This place is extremely easy to find with G-Maps. Road in Kodai are really bad in general so didn't expect anything different. First Impression- Well, the estate isn't in the middle of a plantation or at the top of a mountain. Having stayed at places with breathtaking views earlier, we were slightly skeptical about our choice. This is a quaint bungalow at the edge of the forest. It's got an old, rustic feel to it that takes you back in time to the colonial era. It has a very pretty garden all around it- enough to roam and explore with a tiny tree house. Service- The best! Extremely polite and courteous hosts. Food is not fancy but to die for, very healty in general. Must try chicken curries and especially the dosa! Cons- Since it's a bungalow converted to a guesthouse, common areas are for use to everyone. This can be disturbing for some given that you won't be cooped up in the room at such pretty places. Also, having stayed at similar places before, we found it tad bit costly for the money- possibly because of the season as well. All in all, it a wonderful place. The host, Natarajan, is good with conversations as well.We would certainly visit in off season the next time.

A nice colonial style bungalow with a equally nice team managing it . We had a wonderful day at Saffron Stays Kurinji Estate. A special mention of the excellent job been done by the Gardner . The property was full of flowers when we visited . Mr. Natrajan was very helpful and even though we had to stay at another property the next day due to non availability of bookings, he was our go-to man while we were in Kodaikanal.

The place was breathtaking. The food was simple but delicious. I stayed with my friends for a night, and we had much privacy. The staff were friendly, and the rooms were spacious and neat. The only thing that was questionable was the heaters in the rooms and the fluctuating electricity.

Great experience Great experience

Kurinji estates is a very well maintained property and the people who work under the caretaker Mr. Natarajan are very helpful. I booked my travel through Air BnB so I had to go through a couple loops to get myself to check in. But Ms. Jyotsana helped us out immediately and we were very well taken care of. The views inside the estate are greatv. You have the freedom to roam around and take it all in. Tip 1.: contact the caretaker before you reach the property. Tip 2: Travelling around Kodi, Id suggest do it on foot or public transport. Too many cars have started blocking the roads. And will keep you car safe too. Cons: theres no rolling hills view. So thats all. You can always get on foot and explore the city.
