Beautiful location and amazing hospitality
by PushSobti on
This was my second trip to Tirthan valley. I was accompanied with my father, my wife and my 5 years old son.
It's a long drive from Delhi but totally worth it.
If you are looking for an escape from your day to day life in a busy city, this is the place to unwind yourself.
Great hospitality by Sachin and his family.
His father Mr Ishwar accompanied us to Sharchi village and Jalori Pass giving great and important tips on snow driving.
Meenakshi, Sachin's wife who was managing the kitchen, kept in mind that there were three different generations and made the food just like we wanted.
The staff including Lucky and Deva were very helpful.
Mesmerizing place, comfortable stay

The three day stay at this place was mesmerizing with a great host, Mr Sachin. This resort is situated just aside the river. We did not expect such great amenities at first while planning the trip but this resort had it all whether it be location, room infrastructure(all wooden with heater), hot water, main thing - the food, great north indian dishes among all other things. The icing on the top was the bonfire with good food and river aside. Mr. Sachin was such a great host that we didn't feel him that way, but more of a brother. I am pleased by the hospitality of this place which surely no hotel can match. Overall, a comfortable stat at a pleasing location.
Nice place to stay with family

Located at a beautiful location very close to the river with excellent mountain view rooms, Sharda resort is a nice budget property to stay at with family friends or as a solo traveller.
The rooms, though small in size but perfect for 2 people has all required facilities with an attatched bathroom with hot cold shower, balcony etc.
The owner and staff go out of the way to make the stay really comfortable.
There's enough parking facilities and the open seating area is really amazing. Food is amazing and reasonably priced.
Overall, it's a great place for budget travelers.

Quiet & Peaceful

I stayed as a solo traveler at Sharda for 2 nights in May 2019. It's a great place to quietly un-wind & if you're into trekking, fishing & 'river-jumping', it's the place to be. Tirthan Valley is relatively unspoilt at this stage but is fast becoming a popular tourist spot, so hopefully some control can be maintained so it doesn't suffer from becoming too commercialised. This guest house is fairly new so what some of the staff lacked in experience, they made up for with hospitality & a willingness to help with any concern. The room was fresh, spacious & spotless, perhaps the cleanest I'd had in my 3 months in India. The towels had that 'dried in the fresh air & sunlight' smell to them, so refreshing! For the full day I had there, teeming rain prevented any sort of outdoor activity until late afternoon so I caught up on journals etc.I feel some bad-weather activities wouldn't go astray eg table tennis, pool table, board games etc. There was no TV in my room & wi-fi was through local hot spots. Food was superb, especially the trout fresh from the pond to the dinner plate. Delicious! Hopefully they've fixed their sign in from the road; Sharda is tucked in against an embankment & easy to drive straight past. But overall, I was very happy to stay there; the sound of the river outside my window was soothing, the scenery spectacular, the locals friendly & welcoming & there was none of the hustle & bustle of bigger places. Highly recommended & I wish this new team of hoteliers every success!
