Anyone who would like enjoy coorg food and live near plantation would love this. Really basic room but worth every bit you pay. I was really concerned about food as I traveled with little ones. The owner took care and prepared food which meet all our expectations. Thank you Uncle and Aunty for treating us special.

Beautiful homestay with warm hosts and lovely food Beautiful homestay with warm hosts and lovely food

This was actually a detour when we were going back to Bangalore from Kabini and decided to go to Coorg and stay for a day. We did not have any prior booking, so googled from the highway, called Vicky (Owner's son) and once confirmed, took a diversion to coorg to reach to the homestay at around 4pm. Check with them which route you need to take since following google maps took us to another narrow road and there was no proper signal there to call the homestay. Ultimately Vicky came in his THAR and we followed him till the homestay. We skipped lunch so requested Mr. Basappa if we can have something to eat. He was very generous to cook sewai umpa and estate grown bananas for us to eat and of course with the famous coorg coffee. The rooms are basic but very neatly maintained. We could not find any dust particle anywhere. The restroom was basic but had hot water available. You get a feeling that you have visited some relatives and will feel very homely. The homestay is surrounded with coffee plantation and greenery. There are 3 dogs but were locked in their kennel. They also have couple of ponds at the backside which is are beautiful as well. The place is beautiful and a nice place if you want to have a silent peaceful vacation with your family. Food was the highlight on this homestay. We requested for the famous Coorg Pork fry along with some onion pakado and chicken pepper fry for the evening drinks and they obliged in very short notice. The food was simple awesome. They arrange for bonfire on request as well. The dinner was very good too with roti. Rice, veg curry, rasam and chicken curry and a sweet. Breakfast was again very coorgi style and we loved it. You can take a walk around the estate and enjoy the sereneness of the place with fruit trees. Mr. Basappa was very kind enough to give their estate Mousambi and raw papaya when my kid and wife requested. That was very kind of them. Overall, very nice place to visit in a budget of Rs. 1200 for evening coffee, dinner and breakfast. I would definitely love to go back again this time with my friends and families.

Nice place amidst of coffee plantations, but very expensive for their service. Nice place amidst of coffee plantations, but very expensive for their service.

This place was good and a little isolated from any main road or other traffic, as we expected. There are a lot of rooms and can accommodate around 30 people. The rooms were neat and well arranged. But the food and hospitality were average. Food was neither made to order nor served hot. The Dining place was in the backyard and was not that great to have food there. Otherwise pretty decent place. May be nice for big group or bachelors. Also for the quality of food and other services, they charged 1200 per head per night which is expensive.

We had come from Chennai during a weekend. Booked online. The Homestay is at the midst of the estates. very peaceful and good ambience, this leads to good relaxing. Their hospitality is great and we were received by then honourably. Their food is also very nice. They prepared the dinner to our order. Very well maintained area where kids can play and enjoy. Whoever wishes to stay here can take shuttle bat, tenikoit ring, They have wonderful backyard pond surrounded with trees. ideal place for venting out your stress.

Enjoyed the stay. Good homemade food and loved the garden and playing with the dogs :) the family here is very warm and guided us throughout. Food was made to order and was served with great care. Have to mention the homemade wines; one of the best ! The home grown coffee was a topper !

Demo Trip Book rooms on first floor. I had been with my hubby so had no option but to go for a ground floor one as they have a room for couple on a ground floor. However for one night we had been given a room on first floor on request :)
