We travelled to Banjar from Manali last month as i had read about the place and wanted to visit the jalori pass....we choose to stay in Camp Himalayan after i read the reviews about the hotel in trip advisor...we stayed there for one night was a memorable experience for all of us....cottage location was fantastic - in the lap of nature with greenary all around and snowpeaks in front of arrangement was good...we had guided village trek in the afternoon followed by bonfire in the morning we went to jalori pass - it was snow all around - although the road from Shoja to Jalori pass is in bad condition.....thanks to Jasmine & her team for a memorable trip

Good location backed by excellent service Good location backed by excellent service

Stayed at the property for night, cottages are set at the top of the mountain surrounded by apple orchard. Service was excellent and food reminded us of home. Lack of parking is a bit of an issue but serenity of the place and views make up for the rest.

I meant to write this review immediately after my visit in March but was travelling extensively due to work. Camp Himalayan a.k.a. Sumit and Jasmine; is an awesome place to spend a quiet extended weekend. Must plan at least 2 nights if not 3. The cottages are neat and cozy. The quiet and calm is very relaxing. The views offered by the nature are simply awesome. The windows of the room are smartly done to give you a great view of mountain tops, of which one or two are snow capped. The food is vegetarian, delicious, homely and healthy. The camp offers at an additional charge trips to Jalori Pass and to the Tirthan Valley. The Tirthan is a down hill trek, while Jalori is an uphill drive. At Jalori we witnessed snowscapes and then fresh snowfall. The views of the Dauladhar Range from the top of Jalori Pass hills is also worth an effort. You may try your hand at trout fishing, but need to be experienced to catch any. Trust Sumit and Jasmine to make your stay great!! We will want to visit this place sooner than possible!!
