Never have I ever not left a tip for a server, until today at Woodys. With high numbers of covid in Florida, you would expect restaurants to do everything to protect their customers. Our waitress did not wear a mask (we were seated outside) and when I asked her about it she exclaimed, loudly so everyone could hear, "Because I'm outside!!!" Well, she was running in and out of the restaurant so she WAS inside. And she was delivering food to everyone without a mask. So, no tip for her = I hope she got the message...and she had the nerve to ask, "do you want any change?" And we will never go back.

My first time at Woodys was in 2015. Heard great things and fish sandwich was a big draw. It was everything I wanted. Fast forward to 2020 and I was aware of the gradual deterioration of the fish sandwich, even told my waitresses the past two years I noticed less fish and more bun. It had been 8 months because of COVID since I was there. I returned, reluctantly, to find the fish (fried) is barely 1/4 thick on the part exceeding the bun. You will be lucky if it is 3/8 to 1/2 thick in the middle. They seem to rely on the greasy fried batter, bun not as fresh and I was very surprised they charge .75 cents for a second tiny packet of tartar sauce. They used to bring 3-4 without asking. Im done with Woodys. Great location and always enjoyed a friendly staff. They made no changes to the seating spacing inside or out and no thorough cleaning of tables. Good bye Woodys. Ill drive to Clearwater to get a great Grouper Sandwich.

Great bar food. Great service. Beautiful views..An excellent place to while away a Sunday game day. Bartender very personable and attentive. Cash only, no credit cards.

The only thing this restaurant has going for it is its location. The food is mediocre, at best. The service is iffy depending upon your server. It is dirty. They only take cash. Hope that when youre there that the owner is not. She is not nice and there are several stories from locals about her throwing them out of her restaurant for no good reason (and some of these folks are senior citizens!). There are so many good restaurants on St Pete Beach. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
