All hotels were booked out hence chose this homestay. Room (1st floor) was clean and well maintained although mosquitoes would sneak in (most pondy streets were very dirty with garbage strewn around mindlessly). I see other reviewers talking about bad rooms, perhaps ours was the one generally let out to "Foreigners and Indians with no kids" that's why the superior quality furniture. No breakfast was provided for Indians. Except for guiding us on all the cottage industries we should visit there was no help from this couple, not even a cup of tea in the morning for my parents (mom had a knee issue and could not walk around much).
