Hotel Great Ganga is very good Hotel in Rishikesh. It is situated near Kailash Gate. All faculties are available here. Room Service is very good, staff is very polite. I really appreciate their services. Will visit again.

There are better located hotels at the same price. I booked directly and found later I had paid 50% more than if i had booked through one of the travel sites for the same room. Hotel should note this and give more competitive rates if booked directly. Though you can get a view of the Ganga from the room balconies, the hotel is located at a height and some distance away from the river, and the walk up will be tiring for senior citizens. Food at the restaurant is good. One other thing not related to this hotel : please avoid going to Rishikesh during the weekends, Hordes of people from Delhi and environs descend on Rishikesh for river rafting, and the traffic jam is horrific. We were stuck for TWO HOURS at the bypass entering into Rishikesh on a Saturday afternoon.

Its a nice and decent hotel. We stayed for one night only and we found the rooms comfortable. Food was good and the preparation was nice. The place is close to ram jhula parking. The only drawback was the entrance which was very steep and was difficult to climb specially for senior citizens.

Nice view of imperial Ganges, spacious accomodation, good food, nice hospitality Nice view of imperial Ganges, spacious accomodation, good food, nice hospitality

Stayed at the hotel in a 2 bedroom suite, with two balconies opening up to nice view of Ganges across the road. Located just outside the traffic humdrum, close to Ram Jhula - within affordable distance from the Triveni Ghat. The staff was very courteous and warm. Vegetarian restaurant Machan served good food. Overall, a nice and comfortable stay.

Good Hotel.. Good Hotel..

Nice hotel for family trips. large, spacious rooms with good vegetarian food, though they do not have much variety in buffet breakfast. Location is very good as it is between Ram Jhoola and point where Rafting ends. One can see Ganga Aarti from the Shatrughn Ghat, which is very nearby. The only negative thing about the hotel is there is a steep climb of about 500 mtr from the main road to hotel. One has to walk/trekk this every time you go out for walk/shop/sight seeing etc. Hotel should provide a ride FoC to its customers and specially mention this on TripAdvisor or other sites so people can choose accordingly because it gets really tough if you are with small children and elderly family members with you. For my parents it was literally an exercise going out and they avoided some outings just because of this climb. everything else (location, view from the room, food and spacious rooms) is good in the hotel and one can book it minus the steep climb.

Demo Trip All rooms are same category I stayed 3 time in this hotel in different rooms so I fell same but if you have any issue with stairs you should stay near to reception because hotel is without lift facilities

by Rsubhu on January 25, 2018

Demo Trip Nominal. I didn’t find any one waiting for tips.

Demo Trip The best room is 208 with full front view of the Ganges. All other rooms have some view of the Ganges, mainly from the small balcony.
