By chance I stumbled upon this guesthouse. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Upon arrival after a long over night train, I asked where I could find some lunch. The owner offered me half of his lunch of rice and dahl that was simply delicious. I had a single room that was quite old, small, run-down and lived in. However, it was only Rps 250/night with in-room WiFi and breakfast. Thus, it was quite a haven for backpackers and budget travelers. The courtyard often doubled as yoga battle field or Goan dance club. Given the quality of service, location, other guests and value, I was quite happy with my stay. But, beware of the prayer call from the mosque across the street. It is quite loud and the lady has a quite unpleasant voice. The good thing is it's over quick!
