We found out about this place online, and made the booking through a person called Promod - the manager of this place. We checked in on 23rd July at around 2 pm. While we had our lunch and were just chilling down, some guy barged in to the place claiming that he was the owner of the house, and we were trespassing into his private property. He said he would call the police and book us. When we explained that we made the booking and called up Promod, they both had an argument for 30 mins. The owner was shouting at the top of his voice all the while. Promod asked us to move to another guest house near by. We have all packed again and started moving, then the owner would let us in. We had the booking for two floors of the building, but all of stayed in one floor till night. Finally when we wanted to sleep at 1 am, the other room was locked. There was a maintenance guy in the same building (he was there all along since afternoon when we checked in), and when we asked him for the key, he wouldn't give it saying we booked only for one floor. We called up Promod again and only then he gave the key. It took us another 15 mins to figure out all this - in the middle of a rainy chilling night. The food is terrible, both Veg and Non Veg. Overall, the maintenance is pathetic and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We booked the misty leaves in advance based on the pictures on the internet. About the property: misty leaves is a cottage on a hill in lakkidi. The view is decent, and the style of construction offers great views(read big glass windows). I liked the design of the cottage, simple yet contemporary and modern. Mornings in lakkidid are cool, and it feels great to watch the mist cover the cottage as you sit in the living area. Everything good about the place, ends there. When we marched in, the place was absolutely ill maintained. The floors were not swept clean, there was hair in the pillow, the sheets and blankets were soiled. The whole place is out of shape with faulty toilet door locks, torn sofas, a TV that doesn't work etc. They didnt appear to have done any room service at all before we checked in. The houses around are also being let out, but they were strictly average houses. We highlighted this with the people concerned, and they offered to change the sheets, and provide us with towels and soap. However, the damage was done. We were put off by the place, and decided we had to move out. The owners allowed us a a discount and we moved out the next morning. The place can be good if any effort is put into maintaining this place. Do not judge this place by the pictures you see.
