Spice garden farmhouse is like a home with family members waiting to receive you, share warm meals with you, and discuss everything from local politics, state of farming, and natural history of the place. Santosh, his wife and daughter, their cousins are such warm people. They talked to us in every meal. We were also offered different varieties of plants for propagation back in our terrace garden. There's a little stream in the backyard with cane and bamboo groves where you can chill and relax. It's like a forest with tall trees and shaded spots. Excellent stay and warm people, I wholeheartedly recommend spice garden to people looking for authentic wayanad experience.

We stayed with Santosh and his family for a couple of nights as part of our two-week honeymoon in India. Their homestay was recommended by some friends who had stayed there with their children a few years before. Im so glad we took their advice. After a busy visit to Mysore, it was wonderful to come into the peace and serenity of the Wayanad forest. Santhoshs family is very welcoming and we met his wife, daughter and father. They say met with us in the evening which gave us a fabulous opportunity to ask lots of questions about life in India. I felt it gave us an insight into the real India which you dont get from staying in hotels. The food was exceptional. Santhoshs wife is an excellent cook and the food was delicious and varied - and most of it sourced from the farm. They also asked us what wed like - so one evening we had fish at our request. Santosh arranged for a local driver to take us around the area and we visited the dam, wildlife sanctuary, tea plantation and caves. On our final day, Santhoshs daughter Haripriya gave us a tour of the farm and talked through the different plants and spices they grow - bananas, coconuts, rice, coffee, turmeric, cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, rubber and others. All of which was fascinating as we hadnt seen many of them bring grown before. The room we stayed in had its own bathroom and was slightly separate from the house (although adjoined) with its own terrace where we ate. It had lovely views over the forest and we saw a variety of wildlife including monkeys. Theres a secluded tree hut you can use to read, chat and relax. The room is basic but comfortable and had everything we needed. We slept really well. Overall we had a fantastic stay at Santhoshs and Id definitely recommend it to others. .

We stayed for 1 night. There were cows, love birds, guinea pigs and a parrot in this farmstay. So kids had a good time playing and watching animals. Also There were spice and vegetable garden in this place. You can do a little walking in those garden, where a small stream is situated at the end of the garden. You can also buy fresh spices too. Food served was also good n tasty. They even packed bananas for us to eat, on our journey back to mysore. The farmstay owner and his family were very friendly. We are very thankful to them for their hospitality.

You need a break from a busy and noisy city stays? Or maybe you would like an authentic experince with an Indian, lovely family? Or, perhaps, you are a nature lover and need to indulge yourself by listening to nature sounds, read a book, walk in the banana and coffee plantation, coconut trees? There is lots of to explore, here, at the farm. We stayed at Soice Garden one week and it was definitely a highlight of our travel to India. We loved being sourrounded by vegetation and listening to the birds all day and night. Every meal, prepared freshly, was delicious and I have learnt how to make some of them. The family was lovely and happy to talk to us, especially in the evening. We enjoyed doing some easy works at the farm and understand better about a countryside life in India which is a bit diffrent than in Europe. We stayed in a standard room and had a beautiful view with a stunning sunrise in the morning. Do not beput off because of remote location. It is definitely worth spending a few days at the farm.
