It also has a row of shacks that serve drinks and food. The beach lies along the stretch of beaches and is not far from the equally popular and crowded Calangute beach. Baga is developed mainly for tourists, which is why there are numerous hotels and guest houses here that appeal to all kinds of travellers. There are also several restaurants around the place that serve all kinds of cuisines. It is also one of the most popular places in Goa to shop for souvenirs and even clothes. This sea side town of Bardez is located in the north of Goa and falls under the Calangute jurisdiction. It is situated about 2 km from Calangute and is easily accessible by road.
