It's was not at all worth the price. First they checked us into a smelly room, after talking at the front desk they changed it, which was reasonably ok, but ofcourse not upto our expectations. We had dinner there with big rats running around. Self and kids were so afraid. The staff service is good, they are kind. Breakfast was also very very average. Over all I would not recommend to stay there,even for one night, that's my personnel experience, no hard feelings.

While checking-in we were kept waiting for around 20 mins as there was a big group checking in. Then they finally called me to the reception desk and told me that they are giving me a pool facing room, which was as per my liking. The way to the room (in a different section of the hotel) was very shady with broken tiles and more of a service lift. We entered into a room on the 2nd floor with orange coloured wall. The overall ambience was so shady that we could not stand it for 10 mins, so we decided to call the reception and asked for an upgraded room as we were ready to pay extra amount to be out of that room. Then we again went to the reception and contacted the duty manager. Was a nice guy and after hearing our plight, gave us another room in the newer block. The new room was good, wooden flooring and much more spacious than the previous one. The overall service was nice and hotel staff was quite courteous. But I would still say the hotel qualifies for a good 4 star hotel and not a 5 star.

The location of the hotel is in a remote area, the staff behaviour was excelllent, Overall it was a good stay at the hotel. I will recommend this hotel to my freinds for future booking.

I stayed here for one night Hotel is located far from conjugated area of old agra. Tajmahal is situated few km away from the hotel. They have valet service, room is spacious. All over property is very beautifully built. It makes you fell like you are in palace. I enjoyed staying here and recommend to stay here.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. It was very busy, quiet close to the Taj and the Amber Fort. There was two pre wedding ceremonies happening there and we gate crashed one dance function. Also have a spa but didnt get to use it as the ceremonies was a nice option to choose for us foreigners

Let's put it blunt, we do not like the Clarks chain of hotels in India. We think the staff is severely lacking in hospitality, with only a fex exceptions. The rooms need an immediate overhaul, the breakfast room is a war zone in the morning with dirty tables everywhere and flustered staff that walk around with empty coffepots. We tried to pay our bill the night before we left because of an early check out and at the reception they refused to help us. In my opinion the only reason that this place exists is because of it's proximity to the Taj Mahal. Stepping up their game is not an issue because tour groups flock to this place. Avoid if you can!

I stayed in the hotel for one night and I was not impressed by the service at all. I am a regular customer of Clarks and stay in Clarks Varanasi whenever I visit Varanasi. So naturally, I booked Clarks Shiraz because of my long association with the hotel chain and I am used to Clarks hospitality. However this hotel was a disappointment. The day of my arrival, a wedding party also landed at the same time in the hotel. There was no valet for car parking. Also , no person was available for carrying luggage. The check in was smooth but the staff was completely unaware how to handle guest load. Room was good, but as soon as I switched on TV, voila..no power in it. After a few minutes the technician came and fixed the loose socket of power point. However for my entire stay, the same repeatedly occured. Food in the restaurant is just ok. Not for Indian palate. But yes its expensive. There were no slippers in the room, no bathrobe, the quality of products in batroom was not upto standards. The staff is not courteous at all. They will not wish you even if you are in the elevator with them. I was questioned in evening in very brash way by the security guard at the door, what I was doing when I came back after a meeting.(I was actually looking for parking space so that I can park my vehicle. And yes, no valet was present even now!!) Overall my experiance was not very good. I just stayed for one night so maybe it was just a one off day when nothing was right.

Nice lobby but hotel needs serious renovation !!! Rooms look and are dirty and tired. Windows are dirty with birds droppings, plus the one in our bedroom had big gaps. Bedding feels dirty and damp. As the air is very polluted everything feels grubby. The hotel is very busy all the time ,when we were there , there were lots of bus coaches full of tourists . At breakfast time the restaurant can not cope with the volume of diners. You have to wait for everything ; bread, cheese, eggs . Waiters serve your tea and coffee, after waiting for over 5 minutes I served myself !!! Also the restaurant is very cramped and you need to be genius to get to bread and juice serving bar . I bumped into tables trying to get my breakfast ,ending with bruise as it is so cramped . I am sure there are better places than this in Agra.
