The hotel is easy to reach from Agra cantt station. We took a prepaid taxi and it charged a fare of Rs.210. Since this hotel comes inside the premises of Taj the taxi cannot till this hotel but stops some 100 mts. before the gate of this hotel. You can actually walk up to the hotel from here. There are cycle rickshaws on hire, so if you hire them don't pay more than 20-30 rupees. The A/C Standard rooms are very congested. The cleanliness of the room and bathroom was average. Soaps were not provided by the hotel. The restaurant service was bad. We had visited during June and the air-condition was never turned on in the restaurant so it used to be uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. Probably the A/C were not in proper working condition. The hotel is very near to the Taj and also has a good view of the Taj from its garden. Also the Red fort is near from this hotel as and the fare for Auto to Red fort is 80 rupees. All in all the service is poor but the location of this hotel with respect to Taj, Red fort and shopping outlets is good.

After a full day tour of Delhi , tired and wishing rest asap , we reached Agra at around 8:15 pm through the gorgeous Taj Expressway with its overpriced route eateries, but it took us an hour to reach our hotel which is the closest one to the Taj 100mtrs from the east gate . As vehicles are not allowed inside , a battery operated van took us to the hotel . We were pleasantly upgraded to a lovely tent as our room had an issue of ants in the toilet and the AC was not working properly . The young executive at the counter was extremely helpful . Food was served cleanly and quickly . The next morning was an extremely pleasant surprise , waking up to the call of the most beautiful piece of architecture ever created , we walked up the few fleet of stairs beside our room , and lo , there it was , shining to the bright and clear summer morning sun , with all its grandeur . The view & the beauty left us speechless , and thoughtless as well for a few seconds , but I was sure that this is the best view we could have had of the Taj from any Hotel around . The complimentary breakfast was slow to serve as the hotel chef had not arrived even at 9:00 am , quality was nothing much to write home about , but checkout was smooth . Would recommend this hotel to people who wish to enjoy the Taj from the luxury of their hotel and also visit the Taj premises conveniently during sunrise .

It was not a good hotel stay. We weren't even provided with bath towels!!! Food was barely passable.

The rooms were excellent of the hotel. Food was very delicious in taste and it was served very well by the waiter of the restaurant. Staffs were very kind and polite in their work. I would surely stay again in this hotel in future.

Wah Taj ...... from Taj Khema Wah Taj ...... from Taj Khema

by anil_journalist on January 5, 2017

Stay at Taj Khema ... and 'feel' Taj. Enjoy cup of coffee/tea while watching Taj. Comfortable stay. Soft-spoken staff and tasty food. view Taj from lawn area. Enjoy sunrise and sun set. From same point you will see the two different color shade of Taj... Choose "full moon" dates.

One of best destination to live in One of best destination to live in

If you are a Taj lover...want to spent some time to see the whitish gorgeous tombs of Tajmohol in a fullmoon night or a sunny morning in the winter then your destination must be Hotel Taj Khema a UPTDC can book it through UPTDC website or through any hotel booking engines...a simple but exotic ..there are tents as well as is better to choose cottages in winter than tents...there is a Taj view point..if you are a boarder there then it will be totally free for reach this hotel you have to ride battery car or rikshaw or the evening whole surroungdings become just awaesome..due to the vicinity of Taj eastern gate you have a lot of opportunity to explore Taj as well as the surrounding market which it too ATTRACTIVE. .the main usp is its position and cordial behaviour of its one word you can say "Simple near the east...Taj Khema is the best"

Surprisingly bad experience at Tajkhema Surprisingly bad experience at Tajkhema

by swatidg on January 2, 2017

Stayed at Tajkhema for 2 nights on December 28 and 29, 2016. We were a group of 5 in 2 rooms. Bed and breakfast was the condition when I made the booking. The following are our experiences:- 1. At breakfast, the manager or whoever it was managing the reception desk, told us rudely that only 4 breakfasts would be provided, the 5th would be charged. We have absolutely no problems in paying for a paltry plate of poori- bhaji, but the hostile and rude attitude of the manager was something new in our travels over India. 2. They do not have a card reader. Surprise and suspicion!! When the whole country is going digital in finance, a mammoth like a state tourism does not have a card reader. 3. We paid in cash, for extra breakfasts, meals, an extra poori we had taken, haha..such cheap behaviour, and we were not the only ones, other guests too were being treated like that. Its their culture!! 4. They do not have electric kettles, which, I think is a basic fixture. 5. The rooms and toilets were clean but have not seen a sincere renovation in ages. I suppose the housekeeping is on contract basis and job security is an issue, thus the rooms are more or less livable. 6.The cooking is simple and good, saving grace! 7. The toilets have very cheap soap and shampoo pouches. No commode showers. 8. If you leave the hotel on a Friday, no transport is arranged to take you to the greenzone starting point which is where you leave your petrol/diesel vehicles. 9. Having said all that, Tajkhema has a wonderful view of Tajmahal.A prime piece of property, mismanaged. I sincerely request UP Tourism to sit up, take cognizance and remedial steps.

Why should I stay in TAJ Khemka? Ans- 1. You will get best TAJ view from the hotel. 2. It's walking distance from TAJ. Just 2minutes walk. Why should I avoid TAJ Khem? 1. It's not luxury and Beds are not comfortable. 2. Room service is not good. 3. In breakfast you will get only 1 dish. Conclusion- Not preferred, the only point to stay there is Location view from TAJ Khema

terrible terrible

We stayed there in December 2013. Their room heater stopped working at midnight and we were almost frozen. Next morning before leaving that goddamn place, we wanted to find the manager but could not trace that scoundrel.
