This is my 3rd Visit to Hotel Ginger. in last 3 months. Excellent staff clean room. Very cooperative front desk. location is also very good.

A good value for money option in Ahmedabad and fairly well located for people who have work in the newer parts of the city. The hotel is based on the unique concept of self-service which takes a little getting used to but is not a major shift in ideology. The rooms are small but adequate for 1 person coming to spend only the night. Though located near a new mall, the dining options were quite limited. You could go down to the cafeteria or to the 1 restaurant which has opened in the Mall. Perhaps they need to consider/ include more dining options. The rooms were clean, but my main grouse was with the fact that the bathroom mats were not changed even once during my 4 night stay. Also, it seems as though the painters left in such a hurry that they didnt get a chance to clean-up after them. The bathroom had many paint and plaster marks all over. My main issue with the hotel was at checkout. they took over 40 minutes to prepare a correct bill for me. The person standing next to me in que also had a similar problem. I believe that this has been an issue for them since they have opened. I would recommend the hotel, provided the guest checks their bill on their way out.

The stay was as such comfortable however there were two principal concerns: 1. Having a window AC in the room increases the level of noise in the room and particularly for a room that small. 2. The room AC filter was terribly choked. I had to clean it personally. As such, the hotel is value for the price one pays for it.

I stayed here for a night over the past weekend. The hotel is nicely located in the city (but don't expect any views, etc) and is accessible to malls, public transport, etc. It is a basic hotel, but offers reasonable facilities (decent food options and room service at reasonable prices, in-room facilities, etc) to get you going if you're on a budget. But be prepared to make some sacrifices. What I liked: Value for money Great staff (both at reception and kitchen / restaurant) that is always willing to look after your needs I stayed in a single occupancy room and it was of the decent size. Bathrooms are well appointed and designed to take care of needs. Basic amenities are provided, but for anything extra you got to pay. Fair enough. Decent food (both veg and non-veg) What I did not like: The rooms have very thin doors, so it could get very disturbing. My night was ruined as a result of a lot of disturbance. Complaining to the reception wont help as they could hardly keep a large ruckus-making group, quiet. The rooms do not have a door closer (the device that close the doors slowly and automatically). As a result, you hear a lot of door slamming, every time someone enters or leaves his / her room. I've had enough of door banging for 1 night! The morning tea that I had ordered through room service was stale and cold. I had to send it back and order a fresh one. The bathrooms look tired and fixtures & fittings look like they need repairs. All in all, I tried to save a bit of money but ended up with a sleepless night. I dont think I will go there again.

I stayed in ginger for 12 days but i never feel that service is not good staff is outstanding very helpful staff food is good good hotel for stay specially thanks to miss priyanka she helped me alot and made my stay awesome

The staff was well maintained and also trained and also very courteous. professional front desk staff.It was very good experience.The rooms are good,services is great and cleaniness was up to the mark.I Would especiaaly like to thank Mr.prashant thakur from the front desk who helped me in everyways he can.He never denied my request or complaint i had.I liked his hairstyles and the other actions he had for the guest. I would like to highly reccomend this hotel anywhere in india to stay. Thank's TATA GROUP to have staff like prashant.Best of luck prashant for your bright future. Thank you.

I had been to Ginger ahmedabad on my business trips very often. The staff here is very courteous and helping. The desk manager Mr. Prashant, Aamir, Abhishek, Priyanka, Alam and Suyesh are available at any point of time to help you out. The food is also good especially dal khicdhi and Aloo gobi bhujia which is must try for vegetarians. Chef Akhter and Baban are specialised in cooking both chinese and north indian stuff. The Restaurant Manager Mr. Jay Mishra followed by his staff members Abdul, Ravi, Devendra provide very good service. Definitely a good budget hotel to stay in Ahmedabad.
