Very nice hotel. Restaurant was great. All most all foods were tasty. Must try its restaurant. In my personal opinion, veg foods were great than nonveg ones. Must try Panner Tikka gravy. Sagar special dosa was also very tasty and very rare to find in Ahmedabad.

Nice quality of room ,bathroom is a bit small, the internet is well managed and good view rooms are the ones at the front side.... Location is good too...overall good experience of staying in this place fr 05th dec,2015.

I checked this hotel out via Google Earth before going to Ahmedabad at the start and end of my Gujarat tour. It has everything a westerner needs - working AC (the silent modern type), working WiFi and an attached restaurant from which you can get your bottled water for the standard Rs. 20. Plenty of autorickshaws available on the sidewalk just outside. The location is also great, 5 minutes walk from the train station (well, depends on how long you have to wait for an opening in the traffic so you can cross the road just outside the station), and at the station there's an ICICI ATM that works well for cash withdrawals with VISA cards. Cleanliness is good with housekeeping arriving sometime between 9 and 11 am every day, so you can have your room cleaned as often if you wish. All in all, it's everything you can expect from a hotel in this price range.

hotel sagar is just 5 mins walk from railway stations entry gate.all categories of rooms are available.the room i was allotted was very smelly but they changed it later on.but that wasn't clean enough. I had to get it sprayed with room freshener.rooms don't have windows for sunlight or air. I took a a/c room but it was not working,later i was told it has to switched on from reception.toilets are o.k but could have been much better it cleaned regularly. on the positive side staff is very cooperative and responsive.secondly there is restaurant within hotel premises.food is average.go for it if you are non-vegetarian. they serve you very good tea.hotel corridors were not cleaned properly. on the whole good for travellers who want to make a quick visit to ahmedabad and catch back their train on time.

I arrived late, & entered a well run, clean, well appointed hotel. Room was well appointed, 24 hr hot water, flat screen TV, good mattres, pillow, linen, towel. A/C stays ON, unlike some other hotels. Great restaurant, with lots of NON Veg. Friendly & efficient staff, & engaging owner. On a fair size street, but Not major, but my room at back was quiet.
