WRONGVENDOR ID: DO NOT RELEASE: Review about Hotel :- It is not For Hotel Sahyadri but for Meera Madhav Location of Hotel :- It is very ideally located with the State Transport Bus Stand just opposite and surrounded by market with eating joints, and ice cream shop. Front Desk / Cum Reception :- Not Blond Beauties, but Dumb ladies, they question you a lot ( that�s understood ) but forget very fast what has been told to them. Room :- The room was cozy with all the things working ( I mean the electronics ) the Air Conditioner , the Television ( though it behaves a little erratic ), the Fan. The room was clean and has a small balcony with windows and glass doors separate the balcony from the room, so one can keep the doors open as balcony has windows , with the air-conditioner working. The bathroom was spacious with the wash room and had no bath tub, there was hot water available. The Room Service :- Pathetic and nothing more. My experience from the time we entered the room till we left:- This review is not for Hotel Sahyadri as the booking was cancelled after i called up Sahyadri at 7:30 pm and i had booked and got a confirmation at 6pm from Travel Guru, but to my surprise i found out that the room was not there and was told to speak to Travel guru, I called up Travel Guru and they said they would get back and would book me up at the same category of Hotel. I was booked at Meera Madhav, so the review is for Meera Madhav. I called Meera Madhav at 8:30 pm to find the check in time and was told that you come here and if the room is vacant we will give you, or come by 1pm, we reached Alibaug at 12:45pm and were asked all the details, and since it was a transfer from one Hotel to another there was quite some time taken to resolve everything after having arranged a call to Travel Guru, my 1 and a half year old son was asleep and they were courteous enough to allot a room and my wife and my son left and it was after half an hour i reached the room. After refreshing we checked the Menu and I called up the room service/ Reception ( remember the Dumb Ladies ) for ordering food ,only to my surprise i was told that the kitchen is closed, i asked them is it closed for the day, the lady said no sir it is closed only, we cant provide food to you in the room as the kitchen is closed, i asked will i get tea, she said no. I had no choice to get dressed and go out at 2 pm to get food, i came down and enquired on the counter for a joint and i was guided that ya it is very close, even that time i wasnt told that food will be available ( which we came to know when we were checking out and it was a big shock for us ). I went to a nearby place and was asked that wether i am carrying plastic bag, and i said no, then he said then i am afraid i wont be able to give you a parcel, i asked him is there another joint and he was kind enough to tell me to go to Flora ( the food is nice, but it is very crowded and takes lots of time ), i went there and took parcel and when i reached my hotel i told at the Reception that atleast help me out with plates and spoon and i was told in sometime, we called up from the room also and were told that we are sending but it never came and we had to have food that way only. The same was the case with Dinner and Breakfast we had to go out to have food. We were mostly out the following day and we requested the Reception to have our room cleaned and arranged but were told we will do it after you vacate the room. We happened to meet the Manager who happens to be the owners son and on our way to Mumbai after checking out , he was taking care of the Reception ( as might be a weekly of for our Dumb ladies ), I briefed him about the set of problems we had and he was shocked too on hearing about the food. He said that we serve food and tea etc. in the room but there is no restaurant, and I told him what had transpired, so he said he will look into it. But the Menu shows some nice variety and at reasonable price. But we left the place as we enjoyed our trip barring the food.

the experience at the hotel was good it has good room facilities and was very clean. the staff was very organised and helpful. the quality of the food was also very good though it took long time for them to prepare it, what we missed in the hotel is swimming pool and the flat screen tv. altoghether it was a good stay

This is a decent property. The maintenance of this place was fine. My room was adequate. The room service were active. This is an average property overall.

The overall experience was satisfactory even though the food was not so tasteful and the varieties were very limited. In spite of that room quality and service was well up to the mark. I was happy with their arrangement but they need to work on the food provision.

It was a pretty good experience but the only thing that matters is the hotel is to far from the city you every time have to strive for frequency. The service is very good people working their are very polite & even though its an Ac room the ac does not work nor the television & what the use of paying over it.

I visited the Hotel Sahyadri on 14th Feb.We stayed for 1 day and it was everything I hoped it would be. It's well located off the main square and room we paid for (the attic loft deluxe) was probably one of the best hotel room I've ever stayed in. The overall decor and feel of the hotel was great and it served as an excellent. Thanks Swapnil for your support and kind help. I would love to revisit this hotel. Thanks again Swapnil.

Really needs maintenence. Bathroom taps were broken, towels not provided in our rooms. We checked in at around 12.30 pm & towels were provided at 5 pm.Really needs a lot of overall improvement considering the room charges of the hotel

This is a very good budget hotel. This was my third trip to Alibag and second stay at this place. Hotel staff is very courteous. Food is ok. They do serve in room. Warm water timings are limited so please check before going to the beach. Location is quite some distance from the beach. But if you have your own car, then no issues. Hotel has got parking for a car or two. But right in front of the hotel gate, there is some vacant space where 8-10 cars can be easily parked. Info :Rooms are at first, second and third floor and there is not lift. Rest all is visible in the photos attached. Overall a good stay.

The room was large, but had lot of furniture which was not required. Room was clean. Bathroom is good. Location is near Alibaug Bus stand. Can't add pics as it was not that good. I booked the hotel form the images provide at MakeMyTrip site, but it was totally different. I guess, if you book from MakeMyTrip with a discount you will get the bad room in the hotel. So please be careful while booking through MakeMyTrip with discount. Enjoy Regards Kuldeep

Good points: 1. Service was very prompt. The people were polite and quick to help 2. Food quality was good. 3. Hotel is located a bit outside the main city, away from the crowd. Drawbacks: 1. Washrooms are not clean & upto the standard. Could have been better 2. There should be a separate parking space for 4-wheelers. Had to park in the lane opposite to hotel 3. TV wasnt working throughout our stay. We called in service people to get the issue resolved but it didn't work On a separate note, the roads are pathetic leading to Alibagh...specially from Pen to Alibagh (around 40km)....people visiting Alibagh during monsoon season should be wary off before making reservations for the hotels.
