During recent visit of alibaug , we have tried this hotel. This hotel is nearer to kihim beach and distance is about 3 km. Hotel is recently build and neat clean. Room size are perfect for a couple. They have small dining hall at ground floor and serving poha, sandwich and tea in morning as complementary breakfast. Room service is too good. ... Since, price is lower donot except much amenities in your room. They will provide you basic amenities. Lady at reception was quite helpful. Check-in and out time is 11 am . Since, our buses were in evening so we request them to keep our luggage with them in store room after check out time. After returning from beach, we have requested them to give some rooms so that we can take bath and use bathrooms. Although no rooms were vacant , they have offered their personal restrooms for us. A big thumbs up for that. From out side junction, you can get Auto for kihim beach and this hotel is on the road of alibaug to kihim so you can easily get big auto, buses to go for Alibaug.
In short, it is a decent hotel if you are planning for short stay of one two days.
This fairly new hotel (a few years old) was referred to us when we planned a last- minute holiday over the long Independence Day weekend and we were lucky to get a room as almost all hotels were full over the weekend. The hotel, while not on the beach, is just 3 kms from Kihim Beach and located at Chondi Naka. The hotel is undergoing expansion now, so some indoor games & amenities were not available to us but with enough beaches to visit in the area, this really wasn't much of a drawback. There is a small attached restaurant where you can order food but the most appealing feature of the hotel is the personalized touch with the owner making an attempt to meet & talk to most of the guests during their stay. There is adequate parking for 4-5 vehicles. The rooms are a little small but not cramped & only 2 rooms in the hotel facing the front have balconies, so try asking for them, if possible (the hotel was full, so we couldn't get these).
checked in to the hotel with a couple of friends on 21st and checked out on 22nd
totally enjoyed the stay, rooms were clean and comfortable... the staff were well trained and courteous, the owner is very friendly and helpful. they took care of us as if we were staying at their home only, it was a great experience. highly recommendable from my side
when ever you go there, please route yourself by sea from mumbai and do take help of the owner, Abhijeet... you will have an lasting experience
the rooms are very good and airy, room offered to us had a balcony, the team at hotel samudra city as very helpful and kind. would love to visit here again. they are also expanding and adding a few more rooms to their cart. so in near future we can expect more from this hotel. keep up the good work.
I booked this hotel through makemytrip, who offered me a good discount. Lets get to the hotel -
1) Convenient location.
2 kms from Kihim beach and 10 kms from Mandwa Jetty.
1) Got a room on the 2nd floor. They don't have elevators, so had to climb 2 floors every time.
2) Rooms were clean, however the linen was a bit dirty, although it was changed within 10min.
3) They don't have phones in the room. So, everytime you need room service, you either need to call the owner on his cell or walk down 2 floors.
4) Breakfast timings are mentioned as 8am - 11am, which is already late to begin with. However, it becomes worse when they start preparing breakfast only at 9am. We were served breakfast only at 9.15am. Deal breaker if you want to leave early.
