this WAS one of the best camp site for all nature lovers .please see the word WAS .jambolna is clsed for more than a year and the person who has reviewed it in 2016 needs to be checked for authenticity. it might create a problem who want vist dudhwa national park because practically there are only two options jaagir lodge which is priced on a very higer side as for an average traveller like me. the second option is forest rest house. the best and spacious room with government property sense of safety prevails alas but booking this rest house if you are not a VIP is an uphill task

Fantastic Fantastic

Awesome food. Very nice tents. Great hospitality. A great concept. A must stay for all nature lovers. Good value for money. Not very far from the main jungle too. Have never stayed in such a lavish jungle cottage before.

An experience of difference An experience of difference

We have been to jambolana for some winter days in jan11. The experience is a memorable one indeed. The concept is very different than any ordinary hotels AndheriMumbai the place is magical. The camp is managed well and the security measures are fantastic. Food gets a special reference and jungle journey is also well arranged. The personal attention from he owner is very touching. In such a remote place with the flood related problem the camp managers are doing a good job. If you are true lover of wilderness , you will enjoy the place - the morning mist, the soft sun, the loneliness and the starry sky will enhance your senses. However to note that the luxury tents in high winter makes you uncomfortable. There are gaps at the top which will make you chill felt. Wash area keeping open is enjoyable experience otherwise, can be very uncomfortable in early morning. The chill has made us somehow uncomfortable at our stay. But even after keeping the trivial issues in mind the overall experience goes for much big plus. The owners can make some small modifications here and can make the stay more enjoyable work one can choose little less colder time to enjoy more.

An out of this world experience !! An out of this world experience !!

We were seven families including small children and booked the entire camp for ourselves and stayed 5 nights. The owner Gurab Singh really went out of his way to ensure our comfort, meeting us on the roadside to escort us to the Camp, looking after our individual needs. He arranged our trip into the Dudhwa Sanctuary, sending us off with BF packed, hot tea in thermoses and also a thick blanket for each of us. (The morning temperatures were howering around 0 degrees). Also arranged two motorboats for our trip to Katerniaghat where we saw dolphins and crocodiles. Back at the Camp in the evening we ran into several wild boars foraging in the car parking! The food is excellent, tea served at 4am in January in your tents! hot water bottles slipped into your bed just before you retire. The baths are open to the sky and you can have a hearty conversation with your neighbour while bathing under the Jamun trees. The evenings are around a campfire. An amazing experience for all of us, we saw a tiger, rhinos, python, all types of deer, otters, we all are planning a trip again this year end November to coincide with the arrival of the migratory birds.

Worst exprerience ever! Not at all advisable for nature lovers Worst exprerience ever! Not at all advisable for nature lovers

Going by the rave reviews on tripadvisor as well as a nicely written article on Outlook India we thought of taking a trip to the Jambolana Safari Camp. We visited in mid January. We took a train from Lucknow to Palia. The Camp Owners were supposed to pick us up on our arrival. But we had to wait for more than two hours before anyone showed up. Then we were taken for a safari, where the jeep broke down then got stuck in mud. So we had mud all over us when we reached our tent in dark. Only to find out that the tent was not insulated. Every inch of the tent was damp including the bed. There was no protection against the incessant dew drops. The worst part was the open air bathroom, where anyone would surely freeze to death. There are no trained bell boys, anybody can enter the 'room'. There is absolutely no privacy. This place is only for those do not care much about nature and like to booze and make merry. Not at all advisable for nature-lovers. Stay in the government guest house instead.
