Not stayed................I have booked a Grandeur Houseboat, but they have given me some local Houseboat (company named was Aditya). Overall Houseboat stay was good but the services & amenities offered by Grandeur were not there. Eg. TV & DVD was not present, proper utensils were not present, Shampoo was not present in bathroom, Morning water was empty in the flush, Simple Lunch and Dinner, No Sweet dish, Simple tea in evening without any snacks, Simple Breakfast egg Curry & Noodles, No Juice, Bread, Butter, Jam, etc. At Night Houseboat people had some fight with Village people where they have parked their Houseboat in Night, Houseboat People were having a Alcohol Drink in Night with 1-2 Villagers. Relaxing Chairs & Sofa was not present in the Boat; we had used Dining table Chairs for it. Very Unprofessional attitude of Grandeur executive, I will not recommend to book a houseboat from this company. They do not have their own Houseboat, which they claim, they are only agents. You can get a Local Houseboat of 5200/= over there with better than this service, there is no need to pay 7500/= for this kind of houseboat, Where services are poor and no care of their customers. Overall 2* Services, always they have excuse that they do not have these all things (e.g. Relaxing Chair, Utensils etc.) bcoz their houseboat is one month old. Staying in the House Boat is a wonderful and great experience. Food is marvelous. Excellent hospitality of the people around here. On the whole it was an amazing experience which can be cherished thru out.

Well, we couldn't have asked for more. A home outside home made more homely by the excellent service, absolutely fabulous food (never tasted so good food in all the places I have been in India) and also the ambiance. This would be something extra specialwhich perhaps would make me come back not once but many more times. It was on the whole a good experience, but did not seem to be value for money. There were quite a few red ants on the bedsheet in the room which gave us quite a tough time. Very decent and helpful staff.

We had a night halt in an isolated place apart from this everything was perfect. The food they offer was good. Staff & service was good too, overall good experience.

A must do experience.... with own guide, driver and cook we were given a fantastic 24 hours with night stay.... full life was experienced from animals, birds, fishermen and locals undertaking their every day chores by the waters edge. Don't miss out on this... or the chance to fish as well!

We stayed on an overnight boat, was amazing! Boat was very clean; staffs were great and took care of everything. The views are amazing with a gorgeous sunset. We stopped off for snacks at a local stall just next to a huge paddy field. 3 crew members including a captain, a cook and a helper were really nice, polite and helpful. They cater to all of our needs with a smile on their faces. Captain was really knowledgeable and talked about the history of backwaters and the areas nearby. The journey through the backwaters was awesome especially with delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast served on board. On our request for fresh seafoods, Captain stopped on a village enroute, where we purchased some live crabs and tiger prawns. Our cook on-board prepared it nicely and served us hot. Our houseboat had all modern amenities. It had air conditioning, and satellite TV. Overall it was one of the lifetime trips to remember especially with serene natural beauty, delicious sea food and very hospitable crew Members. This trip was one of the unique trips to remember

I made all payment in advance as per demanded. As per commitment a manager was to be present with us but there was only cook & driver. TV was there but there was no cable or dish connected. The staff used to leave the boat & wander after 5:30 pm when the boat was anchored. The boat didn't sail in the morning on account of engine problem. I had to call my Driver to pick us up. No proper arrangement for my driver for night halt. When I complained to Grandeur there was no response. I asked for partial refund again there was no response. Suggestion to travellers avoid Grandeur houseboats.

Aquaserrene house boat in alleppy was awesome...the best food ever had in life...we stayed one night on house boat..enjoyed back is really very beautiful..please visit once...climate was also pleasant..

Jerin the person from Grandeur Houseboats was our contact person. He went from very friendly when booking to very obnoxious when we complained about the houseboat. The images he sent of the houseboat (we booked based on the images) were 5 star & the boat we got was crappier than the cheapest hotel near train stations. The boat picked us up almost an hour & half late and wanted to drop us almost 2 hours early than schedule. they extended when we insisted on staying on the boat. The boat was filthy (full of lizards), unhygienic, the staff on the boat was helpless as they were being dictated by the owner of the boat There were yellow ants on the bed in one of the rooms. My 6 month grand niece got bit/stung by these ants. The staff took time to change the sheet. The bedsheets were tattered, the mattresses were stale & old. The bathrooms had no soap, one towel/room. One room had no fan. The sitting area had a very dirty pedestal fan with loose wires. The air-conditioning would work either in the sitting area or the bedrooms. We refused to walk barefoot on the boat as the boat floor was so dirty that within the first 10 minutes we had black soles When we complained to Jerin, he said he did not care what rating we give them. I suppose it is a case of supply demand. This was a lousy end to a beautiful family reunion. The staff had no knowledge of the places to show. Wen we asked, they would just vaguely point out to the rivers. The food was good (that is why the one star). I feel very bad not tipping anyone as this was the worst nightmarish 24 hours The company should be checked by the Kerala tourism for lying and cheating the tourists. This was the only horrible part of a wonderful 5 day family reunion. DO NOT GO BY THE IMAGES THEY SEND TO YOU & DO NOT GET ON TO THE BOAT (SAMUNDRA) if you want a good time. CHEAP BUDGET ACCOMMODATION WITH LUXURY RATES
