A very relaxing gateaway. Well maintained boat & comfortable. However, very difficult life for vegetarians like me. Would suggest having separate set of utensiles for vegies. Otherwise value for money.
The food was served in the dinning hall it was fantastic in taste. Rooms were maintained very well with comfortable bed. Staffs were very quick and always ready to help. It's quite a nice hotel.

We loved this place and the natural greenary, dense forest around this place. The country road towards the property itself is a treat for eyes and drivers testimonial for his skills. Food served is good and staff is highly helpful, The only area where team can improve is proper maintenance like Geysers workings etc & card payment.
This resort lies in forest and getting there can be scary if one reaches there post evening. We reached there around 9pm (due to bad traffic on Mysore road and near Wayanad). Cellular network was occasionally present and map didn't work once we entered into forest area. Roads are muddy and it's tough to get to the resort. But once we reached there, we fell in love with the place. I personally loved the concept of wooden cottages. Rooms are big but not well maintained. Washrooms were not cleaned properly and we could see insects here and there in rooms. Overall the place is good and very natural. There is a natural pond as well.
The drive up the hill to the resort is truly challenging and was not mentioned in any brochures. Rooms were comfortable and clean, but bath rooms need repairs. Food was great, typical Kerala style and the best part was the very helpful staff both in the restaurant and in the front office. DevAnand was particularly helpful. Our reservations through Booking.com was completely mishandled as the staff claimed no communications from Hotels.com. My advice- call the resort directly before you go. We did get a room but there was a chance that we may not have after that harrowing drive!
Things to know before you plan 1. Last 4 kms are off road. Its quite difficult drive as one side is valley and other side is hill. Its not tarred road and have steep slope. The drive is very scenic though. 2. You need to take right (steep slope) from at a junction near another resort after around halfway 3. Resort don't have a 24 hour kitchen 4. You need to climb down these 4 kms to go to any tourist spots Good things 1. A natural water stream is flowing through resort. You can take bath if you like to do so 2. Very green and scenic surrounding 3. A natural water pool 4. Lakkidi viewpoint is just 10 mins walk. Nice view from there 5. Staff is good and co-operative Disappointments 1. We took their best room but even than bathroom was not clean 2. Bathtub was unusable as washbasin water was coming out from it 3. Light in the room was not appropriate 4. Food was very basic 5. Recreational activites except table tennis were practically unusable If you are a nature lover than this is the place you would love. If you are expecting services and comfort of a hotel than this place is going to disappoint you
First thing u need is maps to find the location and the 3 km prior to reaching the resort is a bit of a test to ur driving skills. We are a bit confused if we are on the right track or not untill we reached the place. Once reached the place is a delight. The rooms can be much cleaner than the bath rooms. The food is a bit bland to my taste but the drawback is u have to eat only what has been given and no extra orders. Over all i loved the calmness and the way the place was built up.
