Do not waste your money on this pathetic hotel, the rooms provided had all water dripping, bedding was wet as a child might have peed. They do not change the bedding (we saw it with our own eyes when we were checking out).
We booked 3 rooms for 8 people, each room costed us 2600-2700 rs, the rooms were like a 500-600 rs room, someone used the room's toilet and did not flush when we were away and the keys were at reception. This is probably one of the worst experience as a hotel stay in any city.
If it is your hard earned money, do not waste it on this hotel. Only stay here if you have lots of black money to waste. Staff was extremely rude too.
The property would be very difficult to access by car, and there is no parking available anywhere close by, as far as I understand.rented car not ready to come here, walls are craked dirty, dustbin is broken, tv remote is broken, only good about hotel is it is near temple
Despite arriving quite late, the hotel had staff available to help us with our luggage and show us to our rooms. Accommodations were reasonable in size, dated but functioning amenities, and reasonably comfortable beds. Free, if somewhat complicated WiFi, which is slow, and frequently needed to be reset. Plenty of plugins for recharging devices, and convenient light and fan switches. En suite equipped with a shower, which even had a shower curtain. As seems to be the norm in India, no bath mat, but a few budget toiletries and clean towels. The room was made up in the afternoon. The front desk staff was helpful and offer 24/7 service. We didnt try the restaurant, but there are plenty of options very close by, and the Golden Temple is right next door.
The property would be very difficult to access by car, and there is no parking available anywhere close by, as far as I understand. Better to arrive by taxi (a ten minute walk involved!) or Tuk-Tuk, if you have luggage, or a combination of the two. Prices are very reasonable for the amenities offered.
We stayed at hotel CJ international between 2-7th August and never felt out of home. For families travelling to visit the the Golden Temple it is at an excellent location , near the langar house and the main gate. The food is homely and they customise it to suit dietary needs.
We travelled with 2 infants and made many requests, the staff were quick to respond with smiles at all times to ensure we were comfortable.
If you are travelling with a big family and want a view (partial) of the golden temple, will reccomend the suite rooms. Pictures of the golden temple taken from the balcony of the rooms.
Overall a fantastic stay at an economic prices.
The hotel is literally around the corner from the Golden Temple - a one minute walk.
As others have said, it is pretty basic. Our room was comfortable. The air conditioning worked but was a little noisy.
Reception staff pleasant and helpful.
