I stay here every 6 months every year. I run a photography tour company and we always host our clients here and everyone has really enjoyed the property. Their staff are incredibly warm and you can expect great service there. Rishi, their manager is the best man for the task and is available round the clock if you need anything. Do try this place if you are visiting Bandhavgarh.
We stayed there for a couple of nights. Sitesh the manager was very helpful. Mayuresh who took us on safari ride was a nice guy. All staffs were polite and obliging. Food was very tasty. I highly recommend this place.
The sign on the road, belies the quality and service the Aranyak provides It is to a very high standard. Arriving very late in the evening ( Spicejet rescheduling!), we were greeted with a warm welcome. The accommodation is spacious and to a high standard. The food and service- especially Heerah, we the best we enjoyed in our 3 weeks in India. Mr Bali and Satish in the office were most helpful in planning our onward itinerary, and we had a fantastic Safari driver, Rajesh,, who regularly works with the resort
Located just outside the National Park this property is small, but wonderfully set up. The rooms are large, well proportioned, and extremely comfortable. The staff was exceptionally nice and courteous, and the meals I must say, though largely vegetarian (there is always one chicken dish for the non-veg's) was absolutely delicious.
Now to the Game Reserve
They say you cannot see a tiger even if it was five feet from you, for it is so wonderfully camouflaged with its surroundings, and while that may be technically true, I assure you, you will hear its approach long before it gets close.
We did 6 drives in the park over a period of 3 days and were blessed to see the tiger on three of them. It's presence was always announced long before its arrival by the nervous calls of the deer, and the monkeys, and as the trained ears of our guides picked them up the jeeps began to tear down the dirt roads. From then on it was in the hands of the God's, and if they ordained it, the majestic beast would emerge from the forest, the cameras would click furiously, jeeps would jockey for position, bumpers would touch, tempers would fly, and then just as magically as it had arrived on silent feet, the great beast was gone. And those few precious minutes is what one would savor for days, weeks, and I suspect, years to come. Such is the majesty and power of this exceptional animal.
But for those not so lucky, do not despair. Bandhavgarh has much much more to offer. The forests are pristine and absolutely spell binding. Early morning, and late evening, provide ample opportunity for some magnificent photography, and the birds are a true joy. Entering from Tala Gate, the landscape is much wetter, and greener, and it appeared to me that the bird density much higher.
We were welcomed by the smart General Manager...also found all the other staff members extremely caring and helpful...we were not interested in the Buffet meals so were offered specific items from within the buffet items and the charges were per item...the layout of the resort is very open...it never feels crowded even if it has many guests...all the facilities are provided...room was good, open shower was the delightful feature in the room...washroom size was great...enough privacy for each room..a good swimming pool and lovely sit outs...the restaurant has a good feature of glass on the top part of the walls which allows sufficient lighting...the resort specially caters to safari visits...helps in facilitating the safaris (although we booked and arranged it directly), as people get ready for the safari at 5.15 am in the morning, tea is provided at a common place and packed breakfast is provided...when people come back from the safari, one is welcomed with hot wet towel and a welcome drink...we were lucky to get Leopard, Tiger, Bear, Bison and Jackal sightings and quite a few birds, which was a bonus...all in all, a great trip to Bandhavgarh and stay at Aranyak resort
