Truly Close to nature Truly Close to nature

by Ashish R on January 29, 2017

It was a unique and rejuvenating experience for me and my wife when we visited Bagh Sarai in Dec 16. The concept of keeping the nature intact to the best extent possible in its 12 acre surroundings tells a lot about the uniqueness of this concept. Sighting of blue bull inside the campus and also saw pack of jackals right next to its boundary speaks volumes about its rawness. I will visit again to this place.

GOOD PLACE FOR TIGERS. NOT HUMANS. GOOD PLACE FOR TIGERS. NOT HUMANS.

by trippytips on January 3, 2017

How wild can you get in the jungle? As a tiger, really really wild. As a human, not as wild as the tigers for sure. Or may be you can. Then stay here for sure. Coz this place is as wild as the jungle. Think about this. You are travelling with a family and there's nobody to take care of you in that resort. Imagine, you ask for something and it takes atleast an hour for them to get back to you. Even if that's water. The chef cooks suitably for foreign tongue as they said. May be, Indians are not welcomed in this resort. They should have a board outside saying this. Coz the food that was served had to be re-cooked to be digested. No denying the fact that all these are "wild" experiences. They have kept it as natural as possible. As jungle like. Sure. But then shouldn't that be told to travellers. At least, the ones who are not so wild. The ones who are not tigers. The worst part is that there's no communication between the owner and the staff at the resort. The owner, Mr. Neeraj, is certainly a passionate wildlife lover. He is very wild, indeed. More than the tigers at times. But then he should stick to his wild side and be in the jungles and not run a resort. He is a lovely gentleman with many wild stories. But his resort is really not looked after. Sorry to say this Mr. Neeraj but as a family were are extremely disappointed in the way we were treated in the resort. And i have never seen and been to place where there's no billing structure. They don't have a menu card. A rate card. They don't give you bills for anything you buy. They charge Rs200 for a bowl of peanuts. That too, the chef writes it on a piece of paper and gives it to you. They even charge for food you have not taken at times. And when you point out they politely strike it out. Really really wild place i must admit. I kept wondering how can this place have good reviews on this site coz i followed it while booking. Must be some really wild people staying here. The ones who are as wild as the tigers and need no care and can manage on their own. But having said all that, i must appreciate the rooms and the way it is done up. What really feels bad that this place has a lot of promise but is totally in the wrong hands currently and the management is not equipped at all to serve the humans coming to stay there. So, tiger tiger burning bright/staying here for you is alright!!!

1. I extremely enjoyed the stay at this hotel. 2. Our flight was delayed by 05:00 hrs. which led me to reach this hotel at midnight 01:00am. But as we reached they welcomed us in typical Indian style. This was a delight to both of us. 3. Cottage ambience was having the theme of nature. 4. Everything used inside the cottage was Eco-friendly rather than artificial goods. 5. The staff was quit obedient & helpful. 6. Property owner Mr. Neeraj is well versed with the area & you'll get to know more adventurous experience from him. 7. The hotel is in vicinity of Magadhi gate of NP, hence you might have a chance to take a glance of tiger at the hotel itself. 8. We had a nature walk inside the jungle for 01:00 hr. The hotel staff person guided us thoroughly on this walk.

Place for wildlifers & Nature lovers Place for wildlifers & Nature lovers

Fantastic place truly absolute wilderness, one can notice lots of happening within the premises of the resort it has wide own private area a complete untouched jungle. We had a walk in Jungle with naturalist saw various animals like smallest antelope black buck, foxes, jungle fowl, mongoose. It was almost 30 to 40 minute walk through tribal village seeing their life style, beautiful houses & field. This a great knowlage to us beyond our Jungle excursion. huge advantage being staying with this resort you have only jungle & wildlife around. Truly very peaceful, Bungalows are built in front of the field and Jungle opening and separate from the main lad of the resort you have to walk few minutes to reach an amazing dinning another beautiful setup why i am saying this because while sitting or relaxing in dinning area, you will be back again with nature, birds off course guaranteed Jackals sightings. I have to mention another important element as tourist not getting delhi belly while traveling - food out here is just perfect fresh and testy. All Bungalows all built to Eco ethics and perfectly blend with nature & weather. We were at Bungalow 4 has the best view. Our Transport been handled by resort management perfect driver and perfect car worth to pay to organise these extra arrangements. For me a hassle free job while looking some options or wasting time and even not sure about driving and sense of route. We had wonderful experience of Game drives saw mother Tiger and cubs at Maghdi Gate which is 5 minutes from Resort. We are definitely coming back to "Bagh Sarai" since its a perfect place any wildlife or nature lover. Thanks to all the boys belongs to the nearby tribal villages at resort & off-course Arti & Neeraj the main role player of running this beautiful resort thanks Neeraj ji for organising had a valuable lessons about wildlife & loving stories of your adventures while around the fire. I wind up with a huge thanks for making 4 days in to a lifetime experience

Truly an Eco Lodge!!! Truly an Eco Lodge!!!

by HFSaify on February 23, 2016

Labelled as Eco Tourist Lodge!! This property lives up to expectations.... standalone property in sense of distance from Tala and not in between the noise of many resorts neck to neck in Bandhavgarh. Staff is not pro but understands hospitality in sense of "Care". They will listen and respond in best possible manner.... Food is homely with no spice ...... tasty food! Last day I had too much of rice as I could not stop loving it..... Rooms/Cottages are well done...only water supply needs improvement! Few shortcomings I have mentioned in my feedback at reception...hope they will be given due consideration! To add on...jungle is not far off....infact behind the fields its jungle all around! first night we had regular calls from langur n spotted deer... and on second night I had a privilege to hear "Tiger Growling" !!! Personally I liked one thing....theirs no mobile network at all! Idea n BSNL catches up at one point (hut) and that too very weak! No AC, No TV.....so its only Wilderness !!! Pure n sheer Wilderness!!

Demo Trip All the cottages are same!!!

by HFSaify on February 23, 2016

Demo Trip All the rooms are identical and good, we have opted for room no 3.

by SaurabhB69 on May 24, 2015

Demo Trip all the rooms aka cottages are good but It would be better to pick the room 104 or 106, for greater view to the forest around.

by SatyakiD11 on January 29, 2014

Demo Trip no specific tip here, currently there are 9 cottages in a 12 acres property...so any cottage is good to go..

by aparajitv on January 11, 2014

Demo Trip All Bungalow's are ideally located well separated from each other.
