We stayed here for three nights and our room was spacious and clean with a small sitting area outside. There was no heating in the room, but we were provided with a small heater which took the chill off the room very much appreciated at this time of the year, as was the nightly hot water bottle to warm the bed.
All the staff were very helpful and friendly and all of them contributed to making our stay here so enjoyable. Many thanks to you all. Our special thanks go to Ayaan, our naturalist, who was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw some tigers, which we did! A truly unforgettable experience especially as one of the sightings was so close to our vehicle.
Drinks around the fire in the evening, a bowl of soup followed by dinner was a lovely experience. The food was also very good and we really enjoyed our breakfast up on the roof terrace on our last day. When we left the owner and members of staff came to see us off a lovely gesture.
The people of Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge - Pushpendra, Simran, Ayaan, the chef, each and every employee of the lodge took care of us as if we were part of their family. Every time we got back from the safari we were welcomed by smiling faces and hot towels. Even though we had booked sharing seats on safaris Simran, the naturalist, and the rest of the staff including Ayaan went out of their way to make sure our bookings of our safaris were made according to our schedule. Before every safari we were sweetly handed over meals, snacks, water and even blankets. The staff put in lots of love, care and thought into their work at the lodge and we could sense their immense passion for wildlife. One of the most thoughtful and surprising gestures by the lodge was the hot water bag inside the bedsheets that kept us warm throughout the night. The rooms were clean and spacious and we felt connected to the forest because of the trees and birds just outside the room. Simran and Ayaan bonded with us like friends. For our anniversary Ayaan and team decorated our room like it was our wedding night (embarrassing but in a good way). The food was delicious. We forgot the chefs name, but won't forget the taste of his food and desserts - yummy. He and the kitchen staff catered to our dairy and egg allergies perfectly. In one word the staff made our trip 'awesome'. Awesome also because we were extremely lucky to have sighted tigers on each and every safari of ours and a lot of wildlife. Even the office staff from Delhi - Manisha and Radhika were very helpful and co-operative. We will remember our stay for many many years. Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge is the place to stay in Bandhavgarh.
We absolutely loved our 3 night stay here, from the moment we arrived we were treated like kings. The staff were very attentive always on hand to help and assist. The meals were of a very high standard with a good variation mixing vegetarian and non veg. The night watchman was always there to guide us to the dining hall as soon as we opened our door. Our rooms were wry spacious and decorated to a high standard I loved the hot water bottle to heat up the bed in the evening. Special thanks to our naturalist Ayaan, who accompanied us on all our safaris, we got on really well with him feeling like we had known him for years and he made our holiday one to remember by finding the tigers for us.
We will definitely be back, our stay here was the highlight of our holiday
I spent just shy of a week here. The main goal of my trip was to photograph the wildlife of Bandhavgarh. The staff and especially the lodge naturalist were fantastic. Whilst i wasn't there for the accommodation it was excellent, big comfortable rooms and really good food served in a relaxed environment. The company has a long history with the park and you would be hard pressed to find a better informed or more helpful staff.
I spent three days here and was very impressed by the excellent service, food and peaceful environs just a stone's throw from Bandhavgarh tiger reserve. Dharma Giri, the in-house naturalist who accompanied me on safari, was a highly knowledgeable, A-grade tiger whisperer. I saw tigers on four out of five safaris and a leopard on the other one, as well as jackals, mongooses, displaying peacocks and a host of other birds. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay and a good chance to see India's most famous big cat.
