After reading good reviews in Tripadvisor, i opted for this place. And I dont regret my decision.
What I liked?
Tariff.. Just for 500 bucks you get a decent good and clean room.
Very helpful and supportive staffs, Ramesh in particular.
Just 10 mins walk from booking office.
What I disliked?(I really dont want to reveal the negatives, because people were so nice, but still I need to honest with my review..)
Tap was broken in bathroom, which was a big headache to me.
Locking main door from inside was an herculean task coz it would jam every time.
I did a mistake of selecting room 101. Avoid this room and opt for 102 which is neatly placed.
But my biggest negative was staying in non/ac room in summer. Ac cooler was there, but it would work for 3-4 hours and then would only throw hot air. Water needs to be replaced every 6 hours to maintain cool breeze. But for this, every time I went down and ask the care takers to replace the water.
Water would run out atleast once in a day, and I need to report to them .
I am not sure others have experienced these negatives, but you can easily overlook them because of staff were so nice and helpful except few.
Since i was staying there alone, they declined to cook food for me, so i had all my meals in nearby geethanjali rest. so cant comment on food.
Only once owner offered chicken curry on my request, which was very tasty.
At last moment, these hotel guys managed to book a gypsy for us in Tala in current booking. Really great.. and I had awesome sightings in that safari.
ATM was not working in tala, and i had no cash.Owner's son Suraj simply told to pay once I return home.. Really good ppl..
If you are ok with basic decent budget accomodation , for cheapest tariff, dont look elsewhere.. This is the place for you!!
Clearly note, this is very basic & budget hotel without any facilities. if you save your budget on hotels, one can make more safaris in reserve.
We found this is good hotel at a quite reasonable price.
We, couple checked in to the hotel for 2 night as our main plan was tiger safari.
- excellent location, Main tala market.
- neat and clean rooms, only bed & bathroom
-food was good & cheap
- room was very spacious
- peaceful in night
- lots of restaurants nearby for food
- parking just outside hotel
-Hotel owner arrange safari for us. Note even he tried to extract more money with his sweet talks but stay firm on price well before booking, we did two sari one morning and afternoon.
- NO facilities except bed.
- hot water was provided in bucket only.
Overall, this is still very nice option at Bandhavgarh, just walking distance from Tala entry. I will sure recommend this hotel.
if you are searching for luxury then it is not for you. it is mean for comfort. it is comfort for pocket, food, rest and safari.
the yadav brothers and their family taking care of guest. the delicious food prepared in home kitchen by family members will give you the sense of your home which is without artificial color and spicy.
you should not take headache to book safari while yadav brothers (indresh n guddu) are with you.
they have own vehicle to pick up and drop from station or your visit to JABALPUR.
if you really interested to enjoy jungle its good. but if want to enjoy hotel then you may not.

This was the cheapest we could manage to find for a online booking. We reached tala from umaria rail station after an hour long autorikshaw journey around 7 pm [cost rs 500 ,june 2017] .The hotel was difficult to find as their sign board was uprooted. it is just 50 mtr short of geetanjali restaurant on the same side of the main road. the room was some what clean but the blanket provided was awfully soiled, the room was with aircooler, the bath room was just ok.we did not bother much as we stayed for only one night.
Nice budget hotel, good hospitality, good food at reasonable cost, walk able distance from safari ticket office. The owner is very helpful also provide vehicle for Umaria (if required)
