Cosy Jungle Resort very close to Bangalore. If you are nature lover, visual treat for you..You feel that you are the middle of a forest, not an hour drive from the busiest city. You feel authentic jungle experience..Deer are roaming around the camp.
Food was simple, delicious and homely.. Chef Sanjeev prepares very tasty food..
The team of Bannerghatta Nature Camp made every effort to make your stay comfortable and memorable..very friendly and helpful staff..
Big thanks to Resort Manager Mr. Poovappa ..Very active, friendly and most caring person..always feel free to chat with guests. He arranged vehicle to drop me at Bannerghatta Circle..

Nice one day trip if discount is available

Myself and my wife stayed here for one day. Clean and well men tainted cottage.
Food is nice. Surrounding nature is good.
This is a government type company. Lot of restrictions.
We got 40% discount due to week day in COVID period. The place is worth if discount is available.
Morning walk was great. Relaxing atmosphere. Staff is good.
You are not allowed to walk outside the compound. You have to pay for all their safaris etc. irrespective of your using it.
SECOND FAMILY-FRIENDLY & QUINTESSENTIAL VISIT AFTER 18 YEARS !
by Suresh K on
This is "must visit destination", in Bangalore for all AGES !
To drive here via Nice road, from Malleswaram on a cool saturday morning is a delight ! Close to the Camp, the road got narrow and bumpy. There were squatters before the entrance at the gate. The grounds could have been better maintained ! Lots of parking space. We were well received, by the manager Poovappa and team, treated to a cool Lemonade, and later offered Tea/Coffee at their restaurant. The nearby washrooms helped. Later checked into our cottages, and they provided with a very scrumptious, inspiring and freshly prepared Lunch and Dessert ! Now, they were all diet-friendly, moderately spiced and colourful. The crazy delicious chicken curry, and vegetable dishes, needs special mention. The dessert kheer was awesome ! Our group almost did a not waste any food ! Later, went hunting for the Chef Sanjeev to thank him and his team.
This area has the most unspoiled place near Bangalore. We were offered an incredibly natural beauty, and sensational game viewing. The safari game drive was enjoyable, well executed, and we sighted abundant wildlife like Elephant, Tiger, Lion, Jackal, Deer, Crocodile, Bison etc Plenty of birds, of all kinds & types. Lots of stop for pictures. Very cop-op driver, and secure Mini bus.
Later a visit to the Butterfly park & Zoo. Here we saw parks and reserves of dazzling diversity. Although the allotted time is far too less ! Many animals & birds were missing in the Zoo. Plenty of drinking water stations & toilets. There is an electric car facility as well, for people who wanted to walk less.
Back late evening to a Campfire and hot soup to beat the chill. There was a wildlife movie going on. Later back to the restaurant for a lazy and dinner of yummy Hot rotis, pasta, and barbeque chicken plus plenty of other main & side dishes.
The guided walk in the morning was the best of the lot. The air quality was superb and the climate perfect. The sights were memorable, and we got an extraordinary perspective on the landscape & surroundings. The guide Prem, well experienced and passionate, talked non-stop for 60minutes and filled us with amazing information about plants & animals. We got some nice pictures and videos.
We soon realised that our trip was drawing to a close, and we were again herded to the restaurant for Breakfast. Sumptious Kesari bath and Vermicelli upma, and with mind-boggling variety of food and fruits. All served hot & fresh ! The Papaya was a treat. All kinds of eggs. The best fuel for our body !
We tipped the gang, took some group pictures and left for home with happy memories.

Fantastic experience made even better by helpful staff

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this nature camp. We stayed in the tented cottages which were clean and very comfortable (loved the spacious bathroom and the terrace sit-out). The food was homely and delicious and served bang on time. Our experiences there were also fantastic special shoutout to Mr Raju who was full of knowledge and made our private safari all the more interesting. Another highlight was the early morning nature walk, made better by our friendly guide Harish who really knew his stuff! We also enjoyed the bonfire and the movie screening of David Attenborough's Wild Karnataka. Super polite and helpful staff (especially Mr Poovappa) honestly, everything went right during this getaway and I can believe this natural wonderland was only a half an hour's drive away from where we stay.
A request to fellow travellers: please be respectful of the fact that you're staying within a biological park that is home to wild animals don't take your pets or indulge in activities that disturb the environment, as a few guests did when we were there. It also risks the staff, who work so hard to make sure we have the best time.
