Staying for 5 days in Elanza Hotel has been truly wonderful. True value for money. Besides all the expected stuff like clean & sterile linen, laundry, free wifi, courteous staff, great meals, AC rooms, hot water we were pleasantly surprised to see that our request for extra bed, iron board and even fruits specially cut for us was met promptly. Great experience. Genuine in all that it promises.
Generally , Photos shown on the hotel selling sights are misleading. This time I took a plunge and booked this Hotel Elanza online.
I got Super Lucky and the hotel , though seem like a small property, was really large on facilities , service, food, comfort and all things needed by a traveler from the inside.
The rooms was super clean, balanced on every aspect and luxury. the staff was very courteous, last but not the least, food was excellent. the spread in the cafe@Elanza was very heart and stomach friendly.
Clearly the management and staff knows their art and how to make people visit them again.
Everything was great. Location, service, room, breakfast, staff. However had billing issues. Front desk did correct it and said credit has been issued on my credit card, haven't seen yet been 6 weeks.
The pics are for after I occupied the room.
The rooms are clean and reception is quick and helpful. The buffet of this place is very reasonably priced. This part of town is a prime location. Mg road and brigade road are nearby and many good restaurants.
And the wifi is good here :-)
I don't often complain...but after travelling for a month and staying in accommodation all around India, this was quite honestly, the most disappointing hotel.
We (my partner and I) read the reviews on Trip Advisor prior to our visit, and due to the high ratings we had high hopes...
..that were quickly dashed.
Jumping off an early morning flight and travelling via car for over an hour, we arrived at the hotel at 11am exhausted and hungry. Our check in was 12 and as expected we thought we would have to wait. Considering we had an hour to wait, we thought about going to grab a bite and returning later. However, the lady at reception insisted that the room would be ready in 20mins.. so we waited..
..50mins passed and I signalled to the woman at the desk. "5mins," she replied. We waited... After sitting there for 70mins, I signalled to the woman again. She returned a nervous smile and after a short while gestured to a young man at the desk to take us up to our suite. By the time we were finally checked in, it was 12.10. I was not happy. We would have been fine if the woman at the front desk was honest and simply told us to return at midday, rather than making us sit there for over an hour.
The room was ok, although I didn't feel it was very clean. Items were dusty, the curtains were dirty and the room was musty. I noticed the headboard was stained and at that moment wished I was born without an imagination. On the upside the room was a good size and the bed was comfortable.
After a long day I just wanted a shower and a sleep. The shower was good and bathrooms were a decent size and had all the usual complimentary toiletries. However when I went to use the towel it reeked of smoke. Disgusted but exhausted, I bit my tongue and went to bed, smelling like a pack of cigarettes. Thankfully the towels were replaced the following day and were cleaner!
Breakfast buffet has all the basics. Our first morning there, we didn't really get any service (not sure if this was just because it was very busy). I sarcastically asked my partner if "we were invisible." He's a giant 6'4" and finds it hard to blend in. The second morning was quieter and a lot better. Typically we order a lot at the hotels, but besides breakfast, we never ate here.
We were never spoken to or greeted by the front desk for the remainder of our stay. However the doormen and security were very friendly and welcoming.
When leaving the hotel, check out was easy.
If you are in the city on business and you just need a place to rest your head then this is an okay place to stay..Unfortunately we were stuck there for 2nights. The hotel has real potential and is actually in a great location but due to a bad experience, I wouldn't recommend it for those on holiday.
