We had a small get together planned with family and friends. And this place was ideal for the get-together and a small birthday party, with place for cake cutting and celebrations. We had a wonderful time with camp fires and drinks and outdoor activities. A nice clean pool, where we enjoyed playing water-polo. Food was good. There was a small dance-floor, where a different group was enjoying, with loud music. yet we had enough place to enjoy our activities without any disturbance.
The rooms we stayed was good n big (with occasional visit of few interesting friends who would creep the young ones.)
All-in-all a nice place to spend your weekends.
For the management - A good job with the place. But do ensure to keep the rooms clean of pests.
Had been to the resort on 23rd Apr with frens and stayed overnight, pl is ok ,spacious and decent enough cottages ,a big swimming pool with games n other stuff. Coming to food it was average they provide 2 variety's of veg n non veg dishes for lunch n dinner ,non was bad plz don't try that, veg is like avg. For bfast again avg idly vada n chow chow bath. If ur carrying drinks they provide cooler in kitchen,in pool u can booze n play n also u can bring buffe food near cottage r pool.. Overall the pl is avg n OK for 1 day outing also it looks decent enuf for couples too.from hebbal it's like 47 kms n plz carry cash as they accept only cash. Nearest bunk from resort is at4km distance. ATMs can only b found in doddaballapur.
I have been to Green Valley for family hide out (one night stay) in Green valley last year;
The resort is located after Doddaballapur junction when coming from Yellehanka. The road is not busy, so it give nice driving experience as well;
Start early from Bangalore, so that you can reach there by 1000-1100am. I do not call it as very good location as the amenities are not very well maintained.
We have traveled in November month and hence it was cold too;
They have a mini zoo, which attracts small children; My kids loved it; There is a children play area outside and other playing amenities inside like TT, Caroms, snooker, tennis etc ...
Swimming pool is very big; if you are in group you will enjoy it. They allow you to carry drinks -- i could lots of gents drinking beer while in the pool; They have got a area for pool bar etc.
Restaurant does not score a lot (i would say 2.5 of 5) - normal breakfast options; Second day morning we struggled with the kids as they were getting ready for breakfast by 0830am only.
For bachelors it should be fine. Ideal for honeymoon couple as there is no body to disturb you at well.
Rooms are good and maintained ones -- small cottages like stuff.. Hell hot of greenery and fresh air.
Advice would to be carry some food items if you are travelling with children - like bread jam or biscuits.
Very friendly (though inexperienced) staff to help you on various things; You can carry you play equipment (badminton racket, of other children stuff)...
Overall i liked it as i was in need of some hide out ....
I have stayed at this resort twice - once in Feb 2014, and next in December 2014 for new year's. Both time it was a weekend outing with a big group of family and friends.
The location can be a bit tricky at first but Google maps is usually correct in giving directions to this place. It is about 50-60 kms from the BIAL, so a quick hour or two on the national highway should get you to the resort.
The resort has definitely seen better days. The cottages are big and well spaced out, and you can take your cars right to the cottages. But the interiors are pretty dated and old. Washrooms could definitely be cleaner. The tall ceilings help in maintaining a cool interior, but renovation is needed quickly. The cottages are big - one living, one small kitchenette, one big bedroom and an attached washroom.
Staff was ok - not bad and not good. We were fairly satisfied with their service.
Food was decent, it's not 5-star quality but when you're hungry it tastes very good :)
Swimming pool is big and good. It was clean when we visited both times. Changing rooms could be cleaner.
For kids, one of the main attractions was the farm animals like deers and rabbits. That helped to pass their time for a while. On new years, they had bonfires and dancefloor (not a good DJ though) and it was fun.
Overall, a decent resort for a quick, inexpensive getaway from Bangalore.
Had been here wid ma family it was a pretty gud resort. Had a big Swimming pool. Food was okie n tasted fine. Its a pretty huge resort. U can also rent the Cottages available there n stay in it. Not sure of the cost for d Cottages. There are Out Door and Indoor Sports available. There is a small dance floor along wid the DJ. Ova can enjoy if u go in Large numbers.
