The boss is intimidating and unreasonable, especially to foreigners. The boss is intimidating and unreasonable, especially to foreigners.

by Keegan T on January 1, 2018

The boss is an extremely intimidating, unreasonable and rude person, especially to me as an expat but overall foreigner in the country. I felt belittled and not cared for in the slightest, and I was forced into a situation that had me driving back and forth through the city for a few hours to get some documentation after being threatened to be taken to the police station. Had I known this would be the case, there was absolutely no chance I would have stayed there the night before. He spoke good english so there was no language barrier except for an extreme disrespect for me as a guest in his hotel. I would never stay in a place with such a man under the same roof. The receptionist however was a kindhearted person, was empathetic and in the beginning helpful to the situation. I feel sorry for him that he has to deal with this type of person every day. The place is also way too expensive for no consistent running water, a soggy breakfast and the location which is on a back street that has poor lighting, is hard to find a rickshaw, and is not close to shops or food.

Thu.... terrible Thu.... terrible

Poor service. No normal water for guest. You have to spend money 22rupee for half litre water. Staff full of excuse. Breakfast & tea - you can't eat and drink (stingy smell, here tea are served without milk) ofcurse your mood will spoiled morning morning. Cleanliness- forget it. You can see in pictures hygiene situation in this hotel Not worth. I paid total 2500 for 1 night big mistake.

No Couples Policy is Unequally Applied No Couples Policy is Unequally Applied

I made a booking for my fiance and I at this hotel property and was asked to show proof of our marital status. I have made a booking at a hotel because I am traveling to Bangalore on business. I have just gotten off a flight, I am tired and weary. My fiance who is also traveling for work is tired and weary. We don't expect nor deserve an inquisition on our relationship status. I am a US national/Overseas Citizenship of India holder and am rather new to the concept of hotels and the "Bangalore Moral Police" conspiring against young couples. My fiance is an Indian national and we are both in our 30s - we are not teenagers or college kids looking for a pay by the hour motel or worse involved in the sex trade. I was asked by hotel management specifically if we were both foreign passport holders or if my fiance was an Indian citizen after being asked if we were married. The receptionist is required to fill different forms for foreigners vs Indian nationals, but that was not the purpose of the question. The purpose was to determine if he could relax the policy because we were both foreigners or not. Why should it matter if she is an Indian national or not? Is the hotel policy somehow not applicable to couples where both people are foreigners? Moreover how does one prove their marital status (foreigner or not)? Do couples need to travel with their marriage license? Does a tan line on your ring finger indicate your status? or is it simply that we share the same surname? There are plenty of communities even within South India where women do not take the same surname as their husband. The point is the policy should either not exist or be equally applied. This simply isn't the case. I was forced to make a booking at a nearby property in Indiranagar. Considering I stayed in Bangalore for almost a week it seems like a lost financial opportunity for the hotel and a great deal of hassle for well intentioned guests.

My wife and I visited Bengaluru in November 2016. We spent two nights here. By and large the place is fine. I feel for just the bed & breakfast the tariff is steep. I am surprised that the second day we had to pay for water to drink! The service is good. One breakfast was good, but the second day breakfast was not upto the mark. Maybe they should get rid of breakfast and provide good water to drink.

Demo Trip If noise is a problem then please request a room on the back side of the hotel as it is on the street. I preferred to have a balcony and don't mind the road noise.
