This is a resort which is away from the Bangalore chaos. One problem is , identifying the entrance to the location. There is a . check post and you need to ask them to show you the way or call the resort manager
Once you are in the resort, u are in a completely different place. The entire build of the resort is like a village with the poll even resembling the local village pond.
Extra cirricular activities is the central focal point with scope to play cricket to volley ball to cycling and also bullock cart ride are some of them. You can even do pottery which involves less of physical exertion.
Food is good and the spread is not something you are treated to in some of the better known resorts.
Rooms are neat and tidy and the beds are comfortable too.
Over all a nice gateway from bangalore on the weekend.
We chose this place for New Years with our two toddlers. Then place is open and since it was winters we found it nice open and breezy. My kids had a good time as they love farm animals and there were plenty and many. In fact they were visible from the cottage balcony and window which opened to open green space. You can even bring your car behind your room.
The cottage is tastefully designed keeping eco friendly theme in mind. I loved them.
Staff is very nice, courteous and helpful. They were full and worked up for New Year's Eve but it did not reflect back on the visitors.
Overall a good place to stay with family with activities like cart ride, pottery etc.
Food is south Indian. I found it a bit spicy, but people are very nice.
A true Eco resort , Our Native Village on the outskirts of Bengaluru is a good place for a family break and also popular with corporates for team building.
The 25 rooms have basic amenities , made of local materials the rooms remain comfortable without any air-conditioning.
A variety of activities from flying a kite ,to traditional games and an activity room with some indoor games keeps all occupied. A Bullock ride , pottery , seeing cows being milked and if you re interested to do so yourself , a bon fire are other activities u can think off.
A water pond doubles up as a swimming pool.
The restaurant serves fixed menu buffets , food wholesome and tasty. For those wanting to remain connected ... the wifi is pretty decent.
1.Carry a cap/hat
2.Use mosquito repellant ( they had thoughtfully provided it in the room)
3.The mattresses were a little hard.
4.Last stretch of the road leading to the resort is through the Hesargatta Grass lands .. check your tire pressure as road is not great.
5.If planning to visit nrityagram close by , plan your timing to coincide with the classes there .. usually upto 12.30 and closed on Mondays and other holidays.
As the title suggests visited the place with my team for 1 N. Descent food, secluded place, courteous staff and quite a few activities to get your hands ditty (literally) earna a 3 star rating but I' ve rated four ( additional one star) for the attention we recieved from the staff as we weee the only guest since it was a weekday.
We chose this resort as our christmas getaway, as i was not fit to travel far from bangalore. The place did not actually disappoint us. Not much to do for two days, but if you want to have that relaxed holiday and a child who loves to play in water, this place is definitely a good choice. Considering the no chlorine, yet clean pond, we had no regrets chosing place.
It's a decent sized property with decent village set up. The carts available for an hour, the pottery section with a grumpy potter, and a village game play ground with a super enthusiast helping everyone to play the local games. They had a few tops, kites, catapult which added to fun.
The best part was the clean open kitchen in the dining area, and we could directly talk to the chef who would customise the order for us.
Rooms had no nonsense stuff, and as they said it right, its eco friendly. No room heaters, no iron box, no hairdryers.
There was no intercomm. This was not good as i had no network in the room, and everytime i had to contact the reception/housekeeping , i had to go out.
The resort wore a very deserted look and i hardly found the staff outside in the nights.
Not the right place, if you fear animals. Dogs(they claimed that they maintain them) were roaming free and i had a bit of bad experience there with the dog barking at me and my toddler.
Its a super pet friendly place (good for pet lovers), but i had a shock when i saw them roaming free in the dining areas too.
The front desk receptionist was unfriendly on the first day.
overall it was a good experience.
Kindly check your package before you reach there, else you might have to pay 3k for a buffet and lunch which is definitely not worth that price.
