First, let me just say I really wanted to like this place. The building has an amazing design with lots of openness and light coming through. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The polished concrete floors have a clean feel certainly an improvement over hotel carpet.
With that said, the place is not well maintained at all. Its hard to even know where to begin.
First, the pros:
-Great location walking distance to UB City, and good restaurants all around.
-Nice building design with lots of light and open spaces.
-Polished concrete floors are great.
-Fast Wi-Fi never seen a hotel with these speeds.
-Spacious rooms not commonly seen in hotels in the center of Bangalore.
-Hotel staff is professional and in general, nice people.
-The room and bathroom looked tired furniture shows wear, shower enclosure should have already been replaced.
-Shower door was broken it would not close and kept swinging open.
-Shower fixture was very difficult to move. I thought it was going to snap at any moment while trying to find the hot water.
-Incorrectly sized toilet seat was not meant for the toilet in the bathroom.
-Every towel we used should have been replaced long ago. Ive never seen towels so worn used in a hotel.
-Bedding was aged, and the bed was barely acceptable.
-Water stains bubbling the paint in some places in the walls. It should have been waterproofed and repainted long ago.
-The wood closet door handle had snapped, and no one had bothered to fix it. The cabinet sliding door itself was off the rail and difficult to move not fixed either.
-Safe is dated and not up to current standards.
-The room had black ants, which are harmless, but annoying.
-Ponds, which are prevalent in the design of the hotel are looking dingy. Lily pads are mostly gone, and the ones that have survived, arent looking so good.
-A/C vents look like they havent been cleaned in a long time.
-Breakfast is minimal.
Its important to point out that other reviewers described some of the same problems, and yet the deficiencies continue.
My advice to the owner you have an amazing property. Invest the funds it needs to bring it back to life.
I stayed for two nights with my friend. The best thing is that its located near lavelle road, one of the best locality in banglore.
underground parking is available. The is no disturbance from the city traffic noise. Lot of my favourite eateries like airlines hotel, truffles are near by and can be accesed without getting stuck in the infamous banglore traffic.
I previously found lots of reviews mentioning poor breakfast at the place, But hot dosas, omlette were available on request, plus idly, bread toast, cornflakes, juices, fruits. what else you need for a breakfast!
Overall satisfied with the 2 day stay, will definitely consider the place for my next visit.
My wife and I stayed there for three weeks in February 2017. The staff was very good in general. Certain shortcomings like missing laundry items, unchecked working condition of appliances, etc. Breakfast was too repetitive . Same items being served everyday. same choices of fruit pastries, cereals and main entrees. Room service was good. Hot water availability was erratic.
Loved the room, it was spacious, well equipped, great tv with lots of English Channels.
Good aircon, only thing as i found in all places i stayed, there was no Hairdryer, tip. take your own.
Breakfast was very basic but they would cook you an omelette.
Unfortunately for me, i didn't like Bengaluru at all, but was really glad i had chosen a nice hotel.
Nice Roof Terraces & shared balconies on each floor, no private balconies as implied.
I would recommend friends to stay here but i personally will never return to the City.
It's like a high class home stay but not a hotel. It's a home converted into a hotel, so not that great. It's location is very good, close to UB city and other great locations in Bangalore. The road can get a little unsafe in the night though.
Facilities are not that good. There are no carpets on the floor, room service is not very quick. Internet works well
All in all, good location wise, but don't expect too many facilities!
